 Probably the single most useful item I've found, Presto's wand is set up to allow a creator to replace a players missing items without having to hunt though the various directories to find the correct file.  It also advises the user when the requested replacement might not fit the normal guidelines, for example, replacing items for a level 300+ character, or an amount of money greater than the recommended A$30. A creator can also determine which items are eligible for replacement simply by reading the wand.

When a player dies though a bug, it is sometimes necessary to resurrect them.  The simplest way to do this is with Oblilix's Resurrector, found in your bookcase. However, the actual call can also be used, thus:

In some cases, you may also want to replace, or adjust, the maximum number of lives a player has.  The call for this is:

There are two commands that allow you to simply locate a player:
'whereis <player>' will give you the location of the named player
people  on it's own, will list the names and locations of all players.
To goto a player, simply use : 'goto <player>'.  Going to a room is a bit more complex...you need to first know the path of the room. this can be found either by using cd (change directory) and ls (list directory) and moving though the directory structure until you find the desired room...by asking another cre...by noting conveniant spots as you walk around, and writing them down, etc.  Once you know the path the command is simply 'goto <path>'.The best way to bring a player to you, is with Ceres' Transporter, since this keeps a portal open to the players previous location. otherwise, you can use:
trans <player>

You can check a players current inventory by typing:
inv <player>
To replace an item that the player has a receipt for, first:
stat <item> in <player>
This will give you all sorts of information on the item that is missing.  What you want is the path.  After you note this, type: clone <path>
then hand the item to the player.  To remove the receipt, or any other items from the players inventory:
dest <item> in <player>
Be cautious when using dest...do not 'dest 0 in <player>' as this will delete their entire inventory.Most of the other items  that can be replaced for a player can be done using Presto's Wand. To copy an item that a player already has one of, use:
duplicate <item> in <player>

How to grant a divorce

 Once in a while, you may need to check on whether or not a player has  completed a certain quest. This is accomplished with:
 pquests <player>
This will list all of the players current quest information. 
In rare cases, a player may approach you to ask about a divorce. Most often this occurs when a players MUD spouse is no longer active on Discworld. What this means is that it is impossible for them to have a divorce granted via game channels.  To divorce a player:

 Sometimes, all you need to do to solve a players problem is to reset the room or item that seems to have a problem.  Use great care when updating rooms, because this will clear out any items in the room that don't belong there.  Update syntax is:
update <path> (if you know the path to the item or room.)
update <item> in <player> (to update something in the players inv.)
update here (to update the room you are in.)

If you've picked up your bulletin board, and would like to drop it, or stow it in a pocket, or backpack, first use the call:
call set_drop() board

The command 'cre' does a few things, depending on syntax...

 As a creator, there are a few things you can do to customize how you appear to players.  Many of these are listed with the 'review' command.  Review will show you what messages are currently displayed when you enter or leave a room, either by walking or by using 'goto' to teleport there. The exit/entry fields can be changed with 'call setmin(\"text\") me' and 'call setmout(\"text\") me' These will changed the message given when you walk into a room. To change the teleport messages, use 'call setmmin(\"text\") me' and 'call setmmout(\"text\") me'.

This object will open a portal between you and player allowing them to travel to you and then return from where they came.
You can 'transport <player>' to allow them to come to you or 'force <player>' to forcibly bring them to you.  'remove portal' will remove an open portal.
