Question for the folks that are very *against* the selling of items.
What if the selling of items, abilities, etc. was limited to those things
that could be accomplished by a low average player? Say in EQ, something
like 15th level (I don't know EQ very well, so I'm guessing).
I ask because we are seriously considering charging a one-time fee for what
we call "the gift of fate". It would be different for different games, but
the the idea would be that someone could get up to speed enough to
participate in the community.
This doesn't answer the player-to-player sales question, but I'm interested
in your thoughts as to the game company offering this.
