<P><FONT SIZE=2>I know that most existing MUDs don't have either a history, background</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>or religion. What I'm wondering is how many of you do have a (more or</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>less) well thought-out history for your MUD? Are you borrowing stuff from</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>our own history? How do you handle names (of people and places) in case</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>you dont? Religion and gods? Do the implemtation of it all differ from what</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>you first planned it to be, and why?</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>I am currently writing something myself at the moment, allthough it is</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>not complete (and I doubt it will ever be... :), it is almost 400 lines</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>of pure text. It describes what events caused year 1, the religion and</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>its gods, a little bit about the main temple and the castle, kings and</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>other "important" stuff, like a quite detailed timeline.</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>But I have to admit that I haven't yet come up with a name for the</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>kingdom... (any ideas for a kindonw name for a fantasy/swords-and-sorcery</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>type of MUD? ;)</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>If there is any intrest, I can even post the text file here to let you guys</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>complain about it, and maybe to "borrow" an idea or two from it... :)</FONT>
