See Jon Lambert's comment about anti-PKers sometimes acting more immaturely than PKers. Lovely attitude there. Use real-life violence because someone killed your fictional character. Personally, I don't understand what the big deal is, but some people are, I suppose, a tad over-sensitive. If a wandering mobile kills your character, will you curse and scream and threaten to punch the admins in the face for putting that wandering mobile there? I certainly hope not, though I see no reason why, given your attitude, you wouldn't take the same attitude towards being killed by a mob. > If you delighted in killing each other and your typical game consisted of > fighting each other, then it wasn't non-consensual. Surely if the possibility for non-consenual PK exists, then it is part of your game. If that is the case, then I don't really see why you are so upset about the idea of it. I guess that in the end, I don't see that having a sugary-safe world where nothing bad can happen to you unless you want it to as being desirable. Just comes across as lame and risk-free to me. --matt _______________________________________________ MUD-Dev maillist - MUD-Dev#kanga,nu http://www.kanga.nu/lists/listinfo/mud-dev

References:

Re: Re[2]: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monster AI?

From: SkeptAck#antisocial,com (Dundee)

Prev by Date: Re: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monster AI?

Next by Date: Re: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monster AI?

Prev by thread: Re: Re[2]: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monster AI?

Next by thread: Re: Re[2]: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monster AI?

Index(es):

Date

Thread

Thread context:

Re: Re[2]: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monster AI?, (continued)

Re: Re[2]: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monster AI?, Caliban Tiresias Darklock caliban#darklock, com, Fri 10 Sep 1999, 00:40 GMT

Re: Re[2]: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monsterAI?, Matthew Mihaly diablo#best, com, Fri 10 Sep 1999, 01:09 GMT

Re: Re[2]: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monsterAI?, Asmodeus asmodeus#benshaw, com, Fri 10 Sep 1999, 17:21 GMT

Re: Re[2]: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monster AI?, Dundee SkeptAck#antisocial, com, Fri 10 Sep 1999, 21:47 GMT

Re: Re[2]: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monster AI?, Matthew Mihaly diablo#best, com, Fri 10 Sep 1999, 22:42 GMT

Re: Re[2]: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monster AI?, Caliban Tiresias Darklock caliban#darklock, com, Fri 10 Sep 1999, 23:26 GMT

Re: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers andmonster AI?, Mik Clarke mikclrk#ibm, net, Mon 13 Sep 1999, 17:56 GMT

Re: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers andmonster AI?, Matthew Mihaly diablo#best, com, Mon 13 Sep 1999, 22:25 GMT

Re: Re[2]: [MUD-Dev] The Relationship between pkers and monster AI?, Matthew Mihaly diablo#best, com, Fri 10 Sep 1999, 01:09 GMT

[ Other Periods | Other mailing lists | Search ]
