You can see wagon ruts in the stones. The Underworldian officials decided to make all wagons the same size, so they could fit all in the same ruts, and there would be no accidents. It seems this city is well governed.{x ~ 0 9 1 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6404 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6406 S #6406 Intersection of Shrine and Sheradon Way~ {wYou come to a bend in the road and enscribed on the side of the building are two arrows. One saying 'Shrine Road' which points south. The other saying 'Sheradon Way' points east. Small little shops clutter the sides of the streets and they all seen friendly enough. The crowd has really thinned out, as it is far away from the square. It is by no means inactive; there are still plenty of business going on here.{x ~ 0 9 1 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6405 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6407 S #6407 Shrine Road~ {wYou trudge along Shrine Road and pass many carts full of wierd looking objects and trinkets. Seeing many small shops on the side of the road trading in the same type of merchandise. The gleam of the lunasphere shines down on you, and you wonder how it was created. To the north is Shrine and Sheradon intersection and to the south is Shrine and Charldan intersection.{x ~ 0 9 1 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6406 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6408 S #6408 Intersection of Shrine and Charldan~ {wYou come to a three-way fork in the road. Signs points to Shrine Road north and south, while another points to Charldan Road east. Directly east, you can also see the town square. Lots of people are heading from that direction, coming to see more shops. Up ahead you can see the road intersect with each other. People are walking in a steady stream here and you take to noticing some of the strange animals walking with them. You've never seen these kind of animals before. They range from two-headed beasts, to four-eyed ones. Shrine Road points north, and Mergodian east. You can see some patrol guards wandering about, looking for trouble and arresting anybody who is caught stealing or pressing some other kind of offense. The guards seem to like their job, always giving you a grin saying that they're in charge.{x ~ 0 9 1 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6409 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6411 S #6411 Mergodian Court~ {wYou walk along Mergodian Court, named after another Underworldian patron. On the side of the street you see a little fight going on between a merchant and a customer. You see little skirmishes about as well and the guards trying to break them up. If you're heading towards Fureto Lane, be prepared to face some lively crowds. People are racing past, bumping into you and sometimes knocking you over. As you stand up, you notice a huge palace to the south. It appears to be well made, and alot of time taken into constructing it. You are very thankful to be away from the hoardes of people and into a less crowded place. From the distance to the southwest the amazing underworldian palace and east is more of Mergodian Court. Strong smells emit from the bakery to the south. To the southwest you see the great palace. A small underworldian merchant comes up to you and asks if you would like to buy a necklace. In the middle of the street is an Underworldian handing out brochures about a circus or some show with animals. You see other people trying to get people buy stuff at a little shop on the side of the street. All the merchants are imploring you to check out what they have to offer. Then they start yelling at each other, arguing whose shop you should see first. The Lunasphere gleams brightly down upon you, but not as to make you hot or sweaty. The Lunasphere just provides light, and no warmth. You wonder how the underworldians who crafted it to do that. All around you people are bustling around, though not quite as much as on Fureto Lane. You take this time to notice the finely crafted patterns in the cobblestone. It seems to be some sort of runes or ancient language you don't understand. There is a small little square here, with a small fountain in the middle. Cafes are all about, and people are sitting at them and chatting. People are sitting by the fountain, throwing coins in for good luck. This is a rather peaceful scene. West you can see Fureto Lane in the distance. You stare about and notice some pickpockets working their clever schemes on some innocent folk. They grab and then rush down some back alley. A great number of shops still line the side of the streets, and the merchants seem a bit more tenacious here than on Fureto Lane. Actually, you seem to be getting closer to the town square, which appears to be north . Shops line the streets, and you can't decide which one to go to first, for they all seem equally enticing. This place is absolutely mobbed! People are EVERYWHERE. You stare in amazement at the vast quantities of people trying to go and do their errands. In the center of the square is a large fountain. In the fountain is a statue of the great Underworldian hero, Fureto. His figure is finely made and water gushes out all around him. It is truly a marvelous sight to see. Up ahead you can see a very tall and large building. It must be the palace for it is so huge. Streets lead everywhere but it is so hard to tell where you're going with all these people.{x ~ 0 9 1 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6423 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6428 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6433 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6425 S #6425 Charldan Road~ {wYou barely manage to escape the mob of the town square to the east. Dozens of people are walking by you on the cobblestone road. You notice the interesting architecture of the buildings around you. Never in your life have you seen that kind of design. It must be an ancient design, so as to be not influenced by modern day design.{x ~ 0 9 1 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6424 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6426 S #6426 Charldan Road~ {wYou walk amongst many people as you head down Charldan Road. Most seem to be coming from the square, and some are heading to the square. You can hear loud explosions being emitted from the building to the south. The smell of damp air rampant and you wish you could see the sun again.{x ~ 0 9 1 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6425 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6427 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6408 S #6427 The Underworld Magic Shop~ {wYou step into a building filled with bizarre magical contraptions. These devices glitter in the light and seem to be made of some alien materials. In the back room, you hear a loud explosion and then some curses as smoke billows from there. There are scorch marks on all the walls, probably from a similar experiment to the one that just happened. A small Underworldian looks at you from behind the counter and questioned you whether you want to buy something or not. After seeing what happens in here, you give it a second thought.{x ~ 0 9 1 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6426 S #6428 Charldan Road~ {wComing east from the square, you walk upon Charldan Road. This road is less crowded than Fureto Lane. It is made of cobblestones that are set about in a specific pattern and are etched with runes within the stones. There are shops north and south as well as more roads east and west. You feel that this place is very damp and cold. You wish you could see the sunlight though all this darken cavern.{x ~ 0 0 1 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6429 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6424 S #6429 Charldan Road~ {wAs you walk along Charldan Road, you notice a brawl breaking out between a group of people. They start throwing things and bashing each other. Almost instantly a group of guards appear and dispatch the fight just as quick. You see that the Underworldian guards must be very well trained. Getting the feeling you better not do anything stupid now. West is more Charldan Road and east is an intersection. To the south is the Underworld Armor Shop.{x ~ 0 9 1 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6418 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6430 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6428 S #6430 Underworld Armor Shop~ {wYou walk into a building filled with all sorts of armor. You notice that some of the armor is made from common fabrics, like leather and steel, but some are made from alien materials that you've never seen before. You see a very strong Underworldian forging some armor behind the counter. It is very hot in this building because of the blazing forge, you long for the clean air. The armourer's helper runs up to the counter, ready to serve you. The armor looks well crafted and nicely designed.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6429 S #6431 Laeik's Workshop~ {7Walking into Laeik's workshop, you can see {7many assorted scrolls hanging on racks against the wall. The {7room has shelves holding many assorted wands and orbs. Glancing {7about the shop some more one of the helper's walk over and asks {7if you need any assistance in looking at one of the many items {7in the store. {x ~ 0 9 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6414 S #6432 In Front of The Palace of Underworld~ {wYou stand in front of the great Palace of Underworld. Before you stands an outright massive building, constructed many years ago. In front of you is a large marble gate, with dozen of soldiers there, looking down on you. The gate is constructed of pure marble and some ancient writing can be seen etched on it. The palace itself is made of a material you do not recognize. The palace is dome shape with one tall peak jutting out from the top. The gate is open and you may proceed. Back north is Fureto Lane.{x ~ 0 13 1 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6413 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6434 S #6433 Fureto Lane~ {wThe great Fureto Lane continues with the endless supply of people never stopping. A drop of water falls on your head as you look up and see the stalactites dripping on you. At the same time, you are nudged in the stomach by a Underworldian who apologizes and quickly dahes off down the street. This place is chaos.{x ~ 0 9 1 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6424 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6413 S #6434 The Antechamber~ {wYou walk into a fairly large room with passages leading off in all directions. In the middle of the room is a small fountain. Nobles and elders sit there and chat about issues of the city. Servants wander around as well, waiting on the various people. Obviously only the rich and respected get in here. You can hear screams to the east and there is an passage leading towards the east that is well lit, while north leads back to the outside of the palace.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6432 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6435 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6443 S #6435 A Hallway~ {wYou walk down a very long hallway and the hallway is very well lit. The walls are made out of some foreign stone and there is ancient writing embedded in it. Guards are stationed everywhere along the hall, as it must be the one heading into the throne room. To the east is more of the hallways and to the west is the antechamber.{x ~ 0 9 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6436 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6434 S #6436 The Hallway~ {wAs you go down the hallway to the east, not only does the light get brighter, but the security gets tighter. The guards that are stationed stands perfectly straight. They wear glimmering armor and their shields bares a symbol of some sort. Nobles pass by you, chatting in some foreign tongue about something that you have no idea about. The hall continues east and west from here.{x ~ 0 9 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6437 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6435 S #6437 A Bend in the Hallway~ {wYou come to a bend in the hallway where it turns from going east to going north. Up north, there are guards everywhere and a great door appears at the end of the hallway. You take some time to look at the torches on the wall and notice that there isn't fire in them, but an artifical light, probably created by the same means as the Lunasphere was created.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6438 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6436 S #6438 A Hallway~ {wYou turn on the bend and continue down the hall. Just to the north you see a huge golden door which is guarded by a half dozen soldiers. The artifical torches somewhere intense here, but it just seems to add to the environment. To the west is a large oak door, and the stones etched in the walls are done in pale blue-color, probably made of marble, but you can't tell.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6439 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6437 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6441 S #6439 Before The Throne Room~ {wBefore you rises a massive golden door. By what you can see, the door is made of pure gold, and you wonder how they got it there. Six guards stand by closely, but unlike the others, they are all staring directly at you. You feel like you're not welcomed, but they don't prevent you from entering the throne room. There are two torches here, one on each wall, that are projecting mass amount of light, yet they don't feel hot. The only ways to go are back south down the hall, or to the throne room to the north.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6440 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6438 S #6440 The Great Throne Room~ {wYou are overthrown by awe as you enter the great throne room. In here, You see nothing but gold and silver everywhere. Gold statues and figurines are scattered about. Silver armor and weapons lie stren near the floor. Gushes of light pour into the room and of the metal, almost complete blinding you. There are two huge pillars of marble holding up the dome shared room. This is the room where the tall peak juts out of, which saw outside. Around the room are at least twenty soldiers of the highiest rank personally guarding the king. The king himself sits in his throne of marble, gold and silver, with a sceptre in his hand. He sits there very majestically, like he's the ruler of all. Wild animals sits in large cages about. None of which you have seen the likes of before. there is even a small fountain here, shaped like a swan, that sits off to the left. This is truly a marvelous sight, and one that you will not soon forget.{x ~ 0 9 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6439 S #6441 The Guard Barracks~ {wYou enter a room filled with all sorts of armor and weapons. You also see many beds placed in the room, and a few soldiers sleeping on them. This must be the barracks, you note. To the north is a wooden door and east is back to the hallway. The light is alot dimmer in here than in the hallway and a few tired soldiers complain to you to close the door.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6442 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6438 S #6442 Captain's Room~ {wYou enter a room filled with scraps of paper thrown about here and there. A large desk is in the center of the room, with a rather large man sitting at it. On one of the walls is a weapon rack which includes swords, spears, and axes on it. On another wall is a pole and with some battered armor, which has obviously been used many times. There is practically no light in here, and it's hard to see. There is also a interesting smell to the room.{x ~ 0 9 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6441 S #6443 A Stairwell~ {wJust south of the antechamer, you come upon a stairwell. The stairs lead directly up. It's a small room, with some torches on the wall. At the top of the stairs seem to be some sort of room which has a lot of shelves, but you can't make out what they are. You might as well go up and see for yourself.{x ~ 0 13 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6434 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6448 D4 ~ ~ 0 0 6444 S #6444 The Library~ {wYou ascend the stairs into a brightly lit room. Bookshelves are everywhere and the ground is covered in dark green carpeting. You see some Underworldians wandering about, looking at various books and talking about their findings to others. You take a look at a bookshelf yourself, and realize that these books cover just about everything you could possible imagine, from history to the arcane arts, nothing is left out.{x ~ 0 9 0 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6445 D5 ~ ~ 0 0 6443 S #6445 The Library~ {wThis part of the libray seems to mainly cover the history of the Underworld, as well as history of places you know. This indicates that the Underworldians know of the overground world, but they do not know much of the underdark. In any case, the books are very interesting to read and you could spend all day in this one section.{x ~ 0 9 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6444 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6446 S #6446 The Library~ {wIn this part of the library, there are many desks scattered around. These are for sitting down and reading books and doing any research you need. You see many scholars sitting down, completely involved in their book and having no contact with the outside world. These guys are real knowledge fanatics.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6445 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6447 S #6447 The Library~ {wYou continue your journey through the collection of books. You walk on the green carpeting and notice it is soft to the touch. You could probably go to sleep on it. You also notice that a whole section of books here, is devoted to arcane magic. The majority of it is way over your head, but you wonder who could use such a vast amount of information. The Library continues north and west.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6444 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6446 S #6448 The Hallway~ {wComing in from the north, you sense there is more to this castle. Looking about the hallway and seeing torches long the wall. They seem to give off very light as you pass through the hallway.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6443 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6449 S #6449 Entrance to the Dining Hall~ {wStanding at the entrance that leads into the dining hall of the palace. You feel the presences of the past and present warriors coming from the the dining hall.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6448 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6450 S #6450 The Dining Hall~ {wWalking into the dining hall, you see a huge oval table in the middle of the room. There are smaller tables about the room as well as you look about. The room has blue velvet valances draped over a huge painting like of the King Mergodian. The room itself has been made out of some kind of marble that sparkles as the sunlight hits from the oval window.{x ~ 0 9 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6449 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6451 S #6451 Corridor to the Kitchen~ {wLeaving the dining hall from the east, you come to the corridor that leads to the kitchen. Noticing there are more of those torches that are glowing but with no flames coming from them.{x ~ 0 9 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6450 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6452 S #6452 The Kitchen of the Palace~ {wStanding in the center of the kitchen area and seeing a huge granite like stove in the corner with pots and pans cooking upon it. The smell of food being prepared is filling the room with such a delicious aroma. The room has a huge table in the middle of the room with food already to be served to the visitors and the king himself. The food consist of lamb, vegetables and all kinds of desserts. There is an exit to the north and east leads back into the corridor of the kitchen.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6453 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6451 S #6453 The Cellar Corridor~ {wAs you leave the kitchen, you come upon a corridor leading into the cellar. The walls have the torches which are placed throughout the palace. The smell of the food cooking has filled the corridor as you walk on.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6454 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6452 S #6454 The Stairwell to the Cellar~ {wStanding on the stairwell leading into the cellar the dust fills your lungs and the light you carry does very little to see what is before you. The smell of dust and musky scent and the dampness is very much alive down here making you wonder what is down here and what they keep stored in such a place.{x ~ 0 9 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6453 D5 ~ ~ 0 0 6455 S #6455 The Steps of the Cellar~ {wThe steps are leading into the damp cellar of the palace and the darkness of the cellar below is very uncanny as well. The sounds that can be heard in the distance has you wondering what it could be.{x ~ 0 9 0 D4 ~ ~ 0 0 6454 D5 ~ ~ 0 0 6456 S #6456 The bottom of the Stairs~ {wStanding at the bottom of the stairs that lead into the cellar of the palace. The noise continues to grow louder with each step you take. There is a panel-like wall to the west and up takes you back out the cellar steps.{x ~ 0 13 0 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6457 D4 ~ ~ 0 0 6455 S #6457 A Hidden Wall~ {wComing across a hidden wall which looks to be made out of some kind of panel material. Wondering where it leads has left a very eerie feeling inside you. The time seems to stop still for a second as the room grows bright then dim again.{x ~ 0 9 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6456 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6458 S #6458 Inside the Hidden Wall~ {wInside the hidden wall that leads from the panel-like wall, you sense there is evil about. The evil fills the room and beyond as you continue to follow the path from the hidden wall.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6459 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 6457 S #6459 A Long Corridor within The Hidden Wall~ {wWalking along the corridor within the hidden wall, the evil continues to grow more and more with each step. The once lighten torches hang on the walls are completely drained and looks to like they haven't been used in years.{x ~ 0 9 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 6460 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6458 S #6460 The Long Corridor~ {wContinuing walking the long corridor and have no ideal where it leads too. The feeling of pure evil is surrounding the corridor and as you walk on you feel the presence of evil and destruction lurking near by.{x ~ 0 9 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 6459 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 6461 S #6461 The Bend at the End of the Corridor~ {wStanding at the bend of the end of the corridor, you continue to feel the presence of evil around. Here King Guersto sits with bitter and hatred fr the King Mergodian, his twin brother and vows for revenge and havoc on his kingdom. The room looks run down, as the windows that once shined bright light through it, now has covering over the windows.
