My name is Keplic, I am the leader of this expedition into the mines. As i write this, myself
and what remains of my people, are barricading ourselves into the room. Orc's and other dark
creatures have besieged us here, and have driven us into a corner. What follows is my account
of our last hours, and of what secrets we have uncovered during our tenure here. Take heed!
 
We have uncovered new land underneath these mine shafts, it leads to a MASSIVE area, the likes
of which i have never seen! Also, these mines seem to link to the north into the realm of Troy.

Darkness surrounds and overcomes everything around.  The dark water makes
seeing only a hope.  The bubbling sounds seem closer than before.

A rocky cliff stops the lake from going any further.  The waves spray a
mist of water as they hit the rocks.  The only way to go is west.  Back

An underground passage~
A tunnel opens up into a cavern like cave.  This passage is narrow and
musty.  Water drips from the ceiling of the passage.  Upward a unground
highway can be seen, downward leads deeper into the cavern passage.

Boards and boulders litter the ground here.  A hiden entrance can barely
be seen to the north.  The workers must have quit because of the untolerable
working conditions in this passage.

A passageway~
A dark, tightly narrow tunnel leads to the north.  The pounding of miners
can be heard faintly in the far distance.  They must be mining the beautiful
gems that are embedded within the walls of the passageway.

A passageway~
Two torches burn brightly illuminating the path into the Nymia mines to
the north.  Pickaxe, helmets, and other mining equipment lay in a pile to
the side.  The equipment looks to small for a normal person.

The entrance of the mine is lined with small helmets,heavy jackets, and
various other mining equipment.  A small table sits to the side for the
miners to have their breaks.  A sticker on the table reads, "Miners like it
best low, in the dark, and dirty" The mine leads to the north.

A rickety old plank bridge spans across the coastline to the north toward
Troy.  The bridge sways as the wind blows.  There are planks missing
throughout the bridge.  Watch your step!  To the south is a path leading
toward the mines.

Walking over the coastline~
The old plank bridge is crowded with dwarves carrying mining equipment as
they travel to work to the mines in the south.  The sea water has caused
some of the planks to rot from erosion.  The bridge spans to the north
across the coastline.

The plank bridge sways as the waves below splash onto the bridge.  More

Planks on the bridge are soft and brittle, cracking more as each traveler
walks across it.  Seagulls sweep in from the coast and rest on the post of

Time has taken its toll on this bridge.  The bridge needs serious
repairs.  To many travelers cross this bridge to shut it down for repairs,

Approaching Troy~
The morning sky is painted with peach, pink and blue.  The view is
unbelievable.  Refreshed with the morning air, amazed by the sights travel

Birds fly all around, diving into the waters along the coastline of the
south.  Watch out for falling poop !  They screech as swarm all around.

The air smells of fresh seawater.  A long bridge that looks as if its
about to fall apart lies to the south above the coastline.  The northern
route brings Troy closer than before.

An old rickety plank bridge crosses over the coastline beneath.  Many of
the planks are either missing or rotted.  Use caution when crossing.  To the

weakened planks barely hold up under the weight of the many travelers that

Keplic's last stand~
Furniture of all sorts have been positioned behind a half opened door, which is now
cracked down the middle where an axe seems to have hit it. There is a large tomb in
the center of the room, with dead orcs and vampire carcasses scattered haphazardly 
all around the base of it. Dried blood stains both the walls and floor or this room,
a last stand was obviously in progress, with the dwarves barricading themselves into
this room in a last ditch effort to survive. Skeletal remains of what appears to be
dwarves lie in four sperate heaps near the left side of the room. A large leather
bound journal appears to be laying on the floor near the tomb. The only exit is south.

A hole in the bottom~
A hole in the lake caused by the swiftness of the current leads downward
into the darkness and damp hole.  The mud is so thick that is makes the
ladder slick and barely able to navigate.

A ladder is inside a narrow hole in the ground.  Small fireflies swarm
around giving the only light in this hole.  Northward goes further down the

The tracks of the railcarts are covered with gold dust, and gems lay to
the side that have fallen out of the carts while being transported.  A small
dwarf walks along the tracks picking up the gems and another sweeping the
gold dust from the tracks.  The tracks continue to the north and east.

This appears to be a small abandoned shop of some kind. There is a large glass
counter stretching all along the far war, pulled out a few feet from the corner.
Cobwebs and dust are everywhere, making it very apparent that the shop has been
abandoned for a very long time now indeed. Broken glass bottles are seen all over
the floor, giving the impression that this was perhaps a potion shop of some kind.

Entrance to the Chuckling Chupacabra Inn~
This is the entrance to the famed Inn on the Dark Continent. There have been
stories told far and wide about the Chuckling Chupacabra Inn. Tales of tankards,
blood, weapons, betrayal, and good times. Loud noises can be heard from the bar
to the north. Be very certain that you can take it before you enter!

The Chuckling Chupacabra Inn bar and grill~
This is a bar like most others; There is a large L shaped oak bar that stretches
from one corner of the room to the other, with several hard wooden benches sitting
in front of the bar. A large jukebox can be seen in the corner of the room, sitting
next to a rather large dwarf that is passed out drunk in a pool of his own vomit. The
only exit is south.

As the ledge ends here, a campfire smolters at the edge.  The spectacular
rocks line the firepit.  The rest of the ground here has been cleared.  This

A highway opens up here.  Leading downward to a cavern passage. 
Sparkling rocks can be seen deeply implanted into the walls.  Small
footprints of dwarf travelers are embedded in the muddy ground of the road.
