colour and lights. Images are called to your memory by the patterns created as they swirl and glitter. You find yourself thinking of things long forgotten, and times before the storm. You start to see images of people long dead, and of battles fought thousands of years before your time. You realize that these chambers are ancient, perhapts older than the storm itself. There doesn't seem to be a fading of light, but rather an absense of it. You note this as meerly an annoyance until you realize that ten feet is an awefully short distance for a creature to close in at. You realize that you'll have no quick notice as to what is about to attack you. The walls are lined with portraits and tapastries of varying size and colour. You can smell the rancid scent of death hanging cloyantly in the air and your stomach rushes to rebel. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15121 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15103 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15101 S #15103 Hallway of Essence~ ~ ~ The angles of this hallway seem all wrong, twisted and distorted. The pictures show hideous creatures devouring mortal creatures of all types, many humanoid. The floor seems to be slanting slowly downwards and travel to the east is almost easy, as if the place wanted you to go this way. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15104 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15102 S #15104 Hallway of Essence~ ~ ~ As you approach the end of the hallway the walls begin to fuzz and blur, as if you were weary. You mentally check yourself over and find that you are not tired in any way. You approach one of the walls and touch it, it feels fuzzy and the shape is all wrong. After awhile your stomach starts to protest your scrutiny of the walls, so you avert your eyes. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15105 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15103 S #15105 Hallway of Essence~ ~ ~ The hallway shifts to the north hear. The walls are distorded and horibly disfigured. They bend and twist at angles that would quickly cause any normal structure to colapse. You try not to think about what might happen if there was a cave in. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15106 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15104 S #15106 Chamber of Disfigurement~ ~ ~ The angles in this room seem distorted and unstable, it almost seems as if the walls curve in and out as they join the slighly larger roof to the small and oddly shaped floor. The walls are lined with hideous portraits of creatures that defy nature, arms sprouting from cracked and bleeding heads, legs protruding from a pussy and infected back. This place is a true horror unto itself. You shiver unconciously. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15105 S #15107 Hallway of Aradia~ ~ ~ This hall looks much more civil than some of the others in the ways. It is well maintained and is not in flux. There are several portraits on the wall, including some of dragons and other great beasts. This almost reminds you of a hallway in any castle within the storm. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15101 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15108 S #15108 Hallway of Aradia~ ~ ~ The hallway continues to the west and the northern wall harbors an entrance way. You can smell a foul stench radiating from the north. The area around the door seems to slowly fade from stone to a sort of milky white substance as it curves into the large oval room. The walls are fashioned of some strange milky white substance and colours seem to play across it's surface. You mentally liken it to watching a rainbow through milky lenses. The hallway seems to have been drawn to the south slowly and the hall curves and contorts to compensate. The portraits hanging along the curves wall are also curved, as are the torches and the flames they produce. You can sense tiny vibrations through the floor as if some massive machine is operating off in the distance. You note that the walls here seem to glow with a light of thier own, and even give off a small amount of heat. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15110 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15112 S #15112 Hallway of Aradia~ ~ ~ The walls of the hallway seem to pulse slowly, as if breathing. You slowly run your hads across it's surface before realizing that they are not pulsing with life, but with some kind of vibration. The curvature is amazingly accurate and you note that all the portraits and tapastries are curved to fit thier position on the wall. You can smell sulfur and brimstone not far to the south, and it is from that direction that the vibrations seem to be strongest. Over the low hum you can make out the sound of claws grating on brick, and the low rumble of some huge beasts growl. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15113 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15115 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15116 S #15115 Chamber of the Prism~ ~ ~ This chamber seems to have been carved from a huge multi-faceted crystal, lights refract across it's surface creating a highly hypnotic pattern. You watch blithly until you can feel your mind slowly sliping away. You shake yourself back into realization with a new respect for this place. Surely it is the purpose of this chamber to distract the undisciplined adventurer. The whole chamber seems to be vibrating in resonance to some sound you cannot hear. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15114 S #15116 Hallway of Aradia~ ~ ~ The hall bends slowly to the north. You are becoming more accustomed to this strange phenomina. You feel the hairs on your head begin to rise, and mistake the affect for fear and caution, before you realize that the walls are fairly humming with some form of magical energy. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15117 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15114 S #15117 Hallway of Aradia~ ~ ~ The smell of fresh air fills your lungs as a small breeze gusts past you from the north. You fell a longing to be outside and in the open, where you can see for miles and miles. For the first time you fells the rubber hand of claustraphobia stroking your body. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15118 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15116 S #15118 Hallway of Aradia~ ~ ~ To the north you can see a bend and light. You can also make out the clear smell of fresh air. Your lungs pull it in hungrily, like a man denied food for several days. Glancing around you notice that the portraits here are in much better repair than those you've seen previously. It is obvious that someone maitains these halls. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15119 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15117 S #15119 Hallway of Aradia~ ~ ~ The hallway turns abruptly to the west here, unlike the other corners which just seemed to bend naturally. This particular corner almost seems unnatural, as if carved by sentient hands. Your heart begins to leap with harnassed anticipation. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15118 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15120 S #15120 The Aradian Waygate~ ~ ~ This room is set apart from the rest in the ways in the fact that it seems normal. You would almost think this to be a simple chamber in any castle within the storm. The walls are made of good hard granite and torches light the chamber with a flickering glow. The rug is plush and well woven and there are several portraits of warriors and magi on the walls. The only notible oddity is the huge shimmering gate which stands in the centre of the room. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15119 S #15121 Hallway of Indecision~ ~ ~ Far in the distance you can here strange throbbing noises, as if somewhere within these chambers a huge heart is beating. You can almost make out the sounds of voices with each throb. They call to you tantilizing, seducing.... You slowly snap back to reality and shake off the web that had been slowly falling over your mind. You realize that you will have to keep a strong mental hold on yourself. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15122 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15102 S #15122 Hallway of Indecision~ ~ ~ The hallway abruptly comes to an end, but two sister hallways branch to the east and west. You can make out the faint scratching of claw to stone not far to the east. While the west seems oddly quiet. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15123 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15121 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15137 S #15123 Corridor of the Incarnation~ ~ ~ This room seems strangely familliar to you, as if you had briefly passed it by at some point or another. There are no overly distinguishing qualities to it, the walls are all fine granite stone, and the floor is very nearly burried in plush rugs and furs. The potraits on the walls show strange beings walking amongst groups of mortals which seem to be totally ignorant of thier existance. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15124 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15122 S #15124 Corridor of the Incarnation~ ~ ~ This hallway seems to stretch towards infinity. You cannot make out the end which must lie somewhere far to the north. The walls here seem much older than any you've seen before in the ways. You wonder at how ancient this must be to show the ravages of time within these magical halls. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15125 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15123 S #15125 Corridor of the Incarnation~ ~ ~ You slowly run your finger along an age worn brick. Small pieces crumble and fall sparkling to the ground where they fade into the carpet. You shudder to think what might happen if a hole where to break in one of the walls. Not for the first time you wonder where this place might be located. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15126 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15124 S #15126 Corridor of the Incarnation~ ~ ~ In this part of the halls the ceiling looks to be saging and fine hairline cracks cover it in a spiderweb pattern. A small trickle of dust sifts slowly down from above to rest on your shoulder, where it begins to tingle. You quickly brush it off and watch it vanish into the floor. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15127 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15125 S #15127 Corridor of the Incarnation~ ~ ~ The walls here have look as though they are thin as paper. They seem to ripple in your vision as if on the verge of collapsing. Warily you extend a finger to poke at them, luckily they still feel solid enough. You wonder how old these particular halls must be. ~ 0 401420 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15128 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15126 S #15128 Corridor of the Incarnation~ ~ ~ This room seems quite solid, almost in contradiction of the halls adjoining it. There are small chairs agains the walls, as if someone was planning on giving some sort of lecture here. The tapastries show scenes of some great mage opening portals from which strange creatures come forth to bow at his feet. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15129 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15127 S #15129 Corridor of the Incarnation~ ~ ~ This segment of the hall, like the one to the south, is in fairly good repair. The carpet is fresh and all the stones seem good and solid. There are various objects scattered on some tables about the room. You take a quick check and find all of them useless. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15130 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15128 S #15130 Corridor of the Incarnation~ ~ ~ To the north lies a huge chamber, it seems to be in excellent condition and is lavishly furnished, as if it is lived in. You peek around the corners but cannot make out anything in the room itself. You can hear the faint crackle of some powerful magics being used. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15131 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15129 S #15131 Chamber of the Ancients~ ~ ~ This chamber is huge! Some one hundred by seventy by fourty feet. You marvel at the archetecture. Hanging from the ceiling are any number of chandeliers and magical lanterns. You watch the patterns of light that reflect from the chandeliers dance across the walls. The floors are covered in a plush red carpet that feels soft enough to sleep on. ~ 0 8 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15135 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15132 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15130 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15133 S #15132 Chamber of the Ancients~ ~ ~ This section of the chamber is covered in strange glyphs and wards. The flare up at your entrance. Sitting on a pedestal in the corner is a strange black rock, it slowly pulses with an inner radiance that gives you the creeps rather quickly. You note that several varieties of plants have been set here though. Leafing through them you spot several that may be usefull. ~ 0 12 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15134 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15131 S #15134 Chamber of the Ancients~ ~ ~ On a pedestal in the corner sits a small golden ring. It gives off faint pulses of light and heat. The carpeting here is far more worn than it is in the rest of the chamber. The portraits here depict strange beasts that seem to defy nature itself, horses with the heads of chickens and aligators with human arms and legs. Under the pictures a phrase is written neatly &W"Genetic Misfits"&Y. ~ 0 8 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15135 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15133 S #15135 Chamber of the Ancients~ ~ ~ Against the north wall is a throne inlaid with priceless gemstones and encrusted with gold. The scrollwork going up the back is quite elegant. Directly above this throne hangs a portrait of a great mage holding sway over a huge black wyrm, the picture is lighted by another of those strange magical lanterns and it throws shadows and sparkles across the scene. ~ 0 8388616 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15136 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15131 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15134 S #15136 Chamber of the Ancients~ ~ ~ This section of the chamber is fairly nondescript. You only notice one thing of interest and that is a small scroll that tells of how one can create a portal to the ancient levels of the Ways. It's fairly illegible, but from what you make out it's obvious that great treasures and hideous creatures abount on the ancient level of this strange place. ~ 0 131080 0 Rd 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15132 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15135 S #15137 Hallway of Choice~ ~ ~ The silence enfolds you like a shroud. Your ears strain to pick up even the faintest of sound but nothing can be made out. Bereft of your hearing you can feel your other senses begining to heighten. Your eyes bulge forward in thier sockets, straining to pick up everything. Your skin crawls with sensation, your hair bristles in eager anticipation. You can feel the presence of something unnatural further along this corridor. ~ 0 8790024 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15138 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15122 S #15138 Hallway of Choice~ ~ ~ The strange tingle runs slowly up your spine. You can almost feel some creature's breath pushing warmly at the back of your neck. You spin to engage this beast in combat, but it is not there, instead the feeling comes from another direction. Quickly you realize that the halls are tormenting you, making you immune to this feeling of waryness, so that when it becomes real you won't be ready. ~ 0 8790024 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15139 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15137 S #15139 Hallway of Choice~ ~ ~ The hallway takes a sharp bend to the west here. Not far in the distance you can feel some unseen force, and it seems to be approaching... Watching... Waiting for you to let your guard down. Sweat slowly rolls down your face from the sheer force of will it takes you not to turn and run. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15138 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15140 S #15140 Hallway of Choice~ ~ ~ The temperature here seems to have dropped about twenty degrees. Small crystals of ice form before your eyes on the elaborate paneling here. You watch as small paterns form and just as suddenly melt, as if blown on by a warm breeze. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15139 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15141 S #15141 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ The hallway splits to the north and south here. You notice that every few minutes the perspective in the room seems to sway, as if you are moving closer, than further. It seems that his occurs at around the same time that some strange electrical force lifts the hairs on your head. Not for the first time you wonder what powers this strange place. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15150 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15140 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15142 S #15142 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ A small stain of blood covers the carpet of this section of the hallway. It appears to be quite fresh, upon closer examination you can see that the blood trails to the wall and than proceeds up the side to the ceiling. From the ceiling it drips back to the floor and slowly moves toward the wall, in and endless cycle. You deftly step around the drip, wary of what it might do if you interupt it's pattern. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15141 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15143 S #15143 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ The air in this room seems thin and hardly breathable. You stuble towards the wall to steady yourself as a wave of dizziness overcomes you. Quickly you regain your composure and move on, your lungs straining for air where none can be found. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15142 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15144 S #15144 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ The air here is better, yet it has a strange scent to it. Inhaling deeply you begin to feel happier, things begin to seem funny. Glancing at the wall you see portraits of strange aquatic creatures engaging in fornication, you bellow laughter although you find no humour in it. You realize that the cause must be the strange air, you hold your breath and focus on the hallway before you. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15143 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15145 S #15145 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ The hallway turns sharply to the north here. The carpeting in the northern hallway seems damp and the walls have small droplets of water on them. Tasting the drops you find the water salty, as if it came from the sea. The air has a faint smell of salt to it aswell. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15146 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15144 S #15146 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ You can definately feel the moisture in the air now. Not far to the north you can hear the sounds of the surf crashing into the land. You can even make out the faint cry of gulls and other sea birds. The carpets here are soaked with salty water. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15147 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15145 S #15147 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ There is about an inch of sea water on the carpeting here, and small pieces of sea vegitation float around your feat. To the east rises a solid wall of water. There is an iron clad door to the west, and from below it seeps an ominous red mist. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 15149 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15146 D3 ~ Gate~ 3 0 15148 S #15148 Chamber of the Disc~ ~ ~ As you enter the chamber a feeling of unease comes over you, you instinctively reach for your sword as the hairs on the nape of your neck begin to rise. This room seems to be filled to the bursting with hatred and malign intent. The floor is shrouded in atrange mists. The swirl begins to draw your attention.... Just as it was designed to. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ Gate~ 3 0 15147 S #15149 Chamber of Atlantis~ ~ ~ This chamber is brilliantly designed. Its walls are inlaid with mother of pearl and there are several tapestries depicting any number of seascapes. You feel at peace here. ~ 0 401416 8 Rd 0 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 15147 S #15150 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ Soft breezes tickle your face, seeming to come from everywhere and nowhere. Glancing around you see the walls retreat, than approach as if locked in some magical dance. Slowly you feel your conciousness begin to fade, you quickly slap yourself to gain back your control. Once more you remind yourself of the dangers of letting your mind wander. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15151 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15141 S #15151 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ Strange voices fill the air, whispering, singing. You can make out voices that sound fammiliar, like an old friend, begging you to come to thier aid. Songs dance through your head, switching volume and tempo until the beat becoms maddening. Locking out the voices you brace yourself to carry on. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15152 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15150 S #15152 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ You notice a small wooden door to the east. A sign with the word &r"Betrayers"&Y on it is all that gives any clue to what might lie beyond. From within you can hear the faint groan of some creature, as if it is in torment. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15154 D1 ~ door~ 3 0 15153 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15151 S #15153 Chamber of the Damned~ ~ ~ This room is almost normal in comparison to the majority you've seen within this place. The walls are smooth and black, as if charred and then polished. You run your hand deftly along one of the walls and pull it back bleeding, where you touched the wall a small, barely visible spike slowly returns to it's hiding place. There is a set of gallows here and the blade is dripping with fresh blood, you approach and then realize that it is an illusion. The room seems to be emulating the fears it senses within it's occupants. Quite odd. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D3 ~ door~ 3 0 15152 S #15154 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ There is an iron bound door to the west. You can hear eight distinct growls coming from behind the door, Yet you hear only one creature moving about. You wonder briefly as to what make of creature this must be. Whatever it is, you doubt it will be friendly. ~ 0 0 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 15156 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15152 D3 ~ door~ 3 0 15155 S #15155 Chamber of the Goblet~ ~ ~ This room is enormous, it ceiling being well over thirty feet above. The floor is damp and the air smells stale and fetid. You look down and see the bones of past travelers littering the room. Most are cracked or entirely destroyed. Under the decay you can make out a faint hint of sulfur and the rank smell of fecis. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ door~ 3 0 15154 S #15156 Corridor of Gates~ ~ ~ You come abruply to the end of the passageway. There is a large black door directly to the east, and you can hear the sounds of flapping comming from within. Taking a quick look around you notice that the pictures in this portion of the halls are hung upside down. ~ 0 401416 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ door~ 3 0 15157 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 15154 S #15157 Chamber of the Tablet~ ~ ~ Upon entering this chamber your nostrils are assailed with the rank smell of feces and other bodily excretions. You feel your stomach begin to turn and conciously fend off an urge to relinquish your last reprise.
