The rippling of the water is loud as it goes into the house to the east and leaves the house to the south. The beautiful sounds of music being played on a set of pipes is coming from the east, right under the tree. A small fish pond lies to the west. ~ 0 0 2 Rd 0 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 1528 S #1530 Chamber of Meditation~ ~ ~ This chamber is empty of everything including tapestries, murals, windows and tables. Cherry blossom petals swirl in small whirlpools caused by the currents, but some manage to float along the pond to the west. Several colourful shapes dart about you and continue about their ways but you vaguely got the hint that they were fish-shaped. The pond continues to the west and looks deeper to the north. ~ 0 0 8 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 1527 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 1539 S #1541 A Bathing Chamber~ ~ ~ You stand within a large bathing chamber. Towels, silken robes, spices and oils line the large tub in the center of the room. It looks deep enough to relaxe within and be thoroughly cleansing. A small window overlooks the pond outside to the north of you and you can see cherry blossoms float by the window. A footlocker at the end of each cot contains their belongings but taking a peek within reveals nothing worth looting. A door in the east wall exits out to the temple altar. ~ 0 8 0 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 3 0 1543 S #1543 Temple Altar~ ~ ~ Unlike the altars to evil, this place is not covered in blood or living sacrifices. Being more of a lane, it is surrounded on each side by weeping willows and cherry trees that seem to be eternally in bloom. To the east is an expensive looking house on the other side of a small red bridge. There are a few pegs on the walls to hang cloaks upon but that looks to be the only decoration in here. A few banzai trees decorate the table and corners of the room and beautiful paintings of cherry blossom trees done on parchment hang on the walls. You'd never think that here, in the middle of the desert, you'd find so many trees and birds in once place. Peacocks, nightingales, canaries and a multitude of other birds create a loud cacophany of noise. Whomever owns this aviary obviously cares for it quite a bit. For although the single room isn't exactly a pig sty, it's not as clean as the other houses and buildings you have explored so far. There is also a huge lack of any kind of decoration other than a single low table in the center of the floor and a sleeping mat at one side of the room. A door in the north end of the house leads to the outside. ~ 0 8 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 1568 S #1576 A Rice Paper House~ ~ ~ A low table set in the center of the room and surrounded by soft cushions looks to have been recently abandoned as there is still steaming food and tea on the table. No windows adorn the walls, but a door to the north looks out amongst the cherry trees lining the road outside. ~ 0 8 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 1569 S #1577 A Rice Paper House~ ~ ~ This one room house is divided into little sections by way of moveable rice paper and wood walls. Privacy is next to non-existant, but families are close-knit and find nothing wrong with this. The barewood floors are surprisingly comfortable beneath your feet. They must have been sanded a lot to be so perfectly smooth. A door to the north leads out to the road. ~ 0 8 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 1570 S #1578 Hungsete Road~ ~ ~ Music and laughter is coming from the pavillion just to the east of you. A painting on the wall depicts dancers in battle armor. You guess that this must be Shou Lung's version of a theater. You scan about and spot a guardhouse to the southeast but can't make out anything of the town it guards. You think you can see... Trees? But you can't be quite sure for that many trees can't grow in the desert without a large water source. And then it wouldn't even be the desert anymore, would it? The only exit is through a door to the north. ~ 0 8 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 1582 S #1591 The Fish Market~ ~ ~ The smell of fish is incredibly strong here and the aroma almost hits like a brick wall. Crates and counters filled with trout, red snapper, salmon, squid and many other types of fish are packed to their tops. This seems to be a sushi lover's heaven. A thought briefly flashes to mind.. Where did they get all these fish if this town is in the middle of a desert? Perhaps the Goddess provides as well as protects. ~ 0 8 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 1579 S #1592 In the Fishpond~ ~ ~ Thick reeds, roots of floating lilypads, cherry blossoms and sediment from the bottom of the pond cloud the water making this corner of the pond the most difficult for vision. Sound is very distorted from all the life and movement in the surrounding waters causing the other sense to not be very reliable. It's very difficult to tell which way is up, but it can be surmised that the bank is nearby as passage to the north and west is blocked by rock and earth. ~ 0 0 8 Rd 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 1593 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 1595 D4 ~ ~ 0 0 1516 S #1593 In the Fishpond~ ~ ~ You pause for a moment in your swimming to take in your surroundings.
