there is a nice cool breeze blowing, and colorful banners decorate a huge
white gate to the north. A rather cheerful scene, considering that this is
the entrance to Hell...

You stand in what appears to be an inner-city elementary school
playground. The walls are covered in graffiti depicting the cruelty that is
sometimes displayed by children. A dark figure recurs often in the murals,
menacing the smaller weaker children. A chill wind whistles through the
deserted playground. There is a faint odor of decaying leaves, and you get
a feeling that something sinister lurks in the shadows. Maybe there, behind
the slide, or over there... There are exits to the north, east, and west.
A rusty iron gate bars the way south.

The wind whistles through the barbed-wire capping the stone wall
enclosing the playground. A lone streetlamp sheds a dim spotlight on a
child's sandbox. Inside is what appears to be a dark, rich soil, rather
than the sand you would normally expect. Peppering the dirt are some rather
odd-shaped stones. Upon closer inspection, they appear to be tiny
headstones...

The rusted, bent rim has no net, and the pole supporting it is a mass of
rust. The whole affair leans at a steep angle, resembling a gallows, more
than anything else.

Here the cold wind blows fiercely, making you squint up at the building
towering above you. A massive black stone building towers above you to the
north. Most of the windows are broken but light still streams from a few of
them, and figures moving within cast crazy shadows on the ground. Shielding
your eyes from the wind, you can see engraved above the doors:

Standing in the northeast corner of the playground, the ever-present wind
seems to murmur in the darkness. You can't make out any words, but you get
an overpowering feeling of fear and anger. A mini-tornado of leaves twirls
round and round, almost hypnotizing in it's dance about the area.

A thick grey mist rolls along the floor, and wet noises as of dripping
water come from the shadows. You hear murmuring voices and detect a faint
odor of damp sweatsocks and Clearasil. The doors south lead back out to the
playground, and north you see row upon row of lockers fading into the
distance down the hallway.

The flickering of the florescent lights overhead lends a nightmare
quality to the cold mist swirling about your legs. To the west an open door
leads into an apparently empty room, and a faint whiff of rubbing alcohol
drifts in from the east.

South is the school foyer, and a set of stairs lead up to the second floor.

walls, and a smallish man wanders the room muttering to himself. He looks
