The walkway opens up just beyond the treeline to the south.  It is here
that a traveller would be able to get his or her first glance at the massive
centre of worship standing above.  One can only help but to stand, staring
in awe at the pearl and rose coloured temple structure.  The gardens to the
east and west teem with what you believe to be clerics of some sort, engaged
in converstaion, gardening, or just basking in the wondrous light and
sounds.

You walk along the pathway dodging in between the fluttering white robes
of the clerics.  Strange and beautiful flowers line the edges of the path,
keeping it seperated from the lucious green lawn.  You catch the eye of a
few of the robed figures glancing in your direction, sizing you up perhaps.

upon.  A robed figured smiles and bows his head in reverance as he passes

your travels.

You make your way around the edge of the fountain that rests in the
center of the garden.  Clerics dressed in rich robes stand around talking to
each other, stopping as you approach, only to begin again as you pass.  You
look at the water inside the stone fountain impessed at how clear it
actually is.  There is a statue standing on a pedestal in the center of the
water representing all the glory of some powerful being, possibly the God of
these clerics.

water representing all the glory of some powerful being, possibly the God of

A Large Fountain~

caged entities and bump into something solid.  You slowly turn about to
discover the object that has obstructed you.  It was an open casket
containing the body of what might have once been a young adventurer, much

bones, his mouth agape in a ghastly, silent scream.  The ground beneath you
lurches, and the body in the casket is jostled about wildly, staring at you
from empty eye sockets.

This part of the laboratory is completely devoid of decoration, save for
the giant ring of some sort of silvery metal laid in the stone floor.  Runes
are etched in the stone floor around this ring, and are also inlaid with the
same silvery metal.  You recognize some of the runes of warding and
protection, and quickly come to understand that the ring is a summoning
circle used to contain beings from other planes when they are ripped from
their homes.

The predominant feature of this half of the laboratory are the books.  It
is lined with deep wooden shelves, holding hundreds upon hundreds of books. 
Many of the volumes appeared similar, each bound with the same black or navy
binding, decorated in runes of silver or gold.  The books aren't the only
items ornamenting the room, however.  Amongst the countless volumes are
countless objects, rare and beautiful--and rare and ghastly--situated upon
the shelves.

The inside of this caged room smells of rot and decay.  Dried blood
stains upon the floor and walls are found everywhere--product of the
countless slaughters of helpless creatures.  The few remaining "test
