Trail into the Misty Mountains~
~
~
Winding northwards into aspen forests sprinkled with cedars, a small path
leads towards the infamous Mountains of Mist. Deer wander across, barely
noting your passage. A cool breeze flows down the trail, carrying the scent
of snow and stone, ancient beyond all reckoning.

Foothills of the Misty Mountains~
~
~
Old, crumbling stoneworks form a wall to the west of this pathway into
the foothills of the Misty Mountains. The ways lead up into a climb,
heading higher into the cloud-shrouded peaks as well as down through the
fogs of the woods below. There is a narrow trail heading east and west of
here.

Cliff-side into the Foothills~

Far landscapes can be viewed, spreading like a blanket before you. The
peaks of the massive mountain range are to your north but dark woods and
broad rivers can be seen stretching from west and south. At your feet is a
massive drop upon sheer rocks. The only exit is back up the trail to the
east.

Bluff against a Ravine~
~
~
Crumbling rocks form a suicide bluff to the east and north of you,
butted against the side of this mount. Old stonework from ages past depict
the idea of a guardhouse or waystation for weary travelers. Small animals
have made a den within the shelter of these ruins. To the south is the
mouth of a weathered ravine and the only trail is back to the west, from
which you came.

High into the Misty Mountains~

Rumbling thunder comes from the pass to the west while to the east is the
promise of shelter from the raging thunderstorm that threatens the peaks.
There is a trail leading up and falling back downwards. Common sense
dictates that you get under cover from the lightning.

Plateau in the Misty Mountains~

Fierce winds contend with flying boulders and shattering rock as this is
the playground of mountain giants. The caves and overhangs of this flat
plateau are the homes for numerous families of these brutes. The only way
off is back to the trail to the east.

Shallow-dug Cavemouth~

A large overhang and water worn cliff makes this a nice hidy-hole of a
cave. The winds rarely touch in here, having to break around a small lip of
stone. Limestone stalagtites form jagged teeth from the ceiling and time
has worn a smaller, darker hole towards the east, further back in the
overhang.

chitters can be heard above your head and there are white dots everywhere
the stream has not washed the stone clean. A few small bones can be seen

The expansive, carved cavern is enormous! You can move freely in all
directions but where a collosal stalagmite-tite has made a pillar of immense
size. The walls have been smoothed all around you and the floor has been
sanded. The hall expands to the west and north.

This shaft runs two directions. The floor gets steeper and rougher to

secure the further into the mountain you go. The echo of metal on stone is
still present, though the odor of death lingers.

Collapsed Tunnel~
~
~
Small squeaks echo as you enter. Smaller feet scramble as rodents of all
size scurry to hiding. The floor is covered with bones and scraps of
clothing and leather. The smell of rat flesh assault your nostrals.

Abandoned Cavern~
~
~
This cavern is small and dusty with black soot everywhere. The high
ceiling is shrouded in darkness that not even your light can reach. You get
the feeling that this room hasn't been traversed often. A feeling of dread
comes over you. There are exits leading up and east and north.
