============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ R o A M U D B a s e (RoA v 1.91) RoA started with CircleMUD 2.2 as a base. The original code is all but been rewritten, but we will not overlook the accomplishments of Jeremy Elson and Diku & company, who provided such an expandable base. RoA consists of roughly 80,000 lines of code, most of which is streamlined but it is certainly totally not bug free ( Does it ever end? :)). Nearly every facet of RoA is OLCable, with a completely original olc base, aptly named RoAOLC. All code related enhancements to the RoA MUDBase have been added by James Rhone (Vall), a computer science graduate from the State University of New York at Utica/Rome Institute of Technology (with the exception of those people mentioned in the list below). Thanx to the great building staff of RoA for providing wonderful areas, some of the best which can be found on the net. Thanx to everyone else, including the players, for beta testing this mudbase and helping to discover what a mud should be. Specific thanks to the following people: Those who push RoAOLC to the limit, daily: Mouseglove, Cyng, Cyruss Admin help along the way: Mouseglove, Cyng, Chaos Code assistance: Darkenelf, Freebie Helpfiles: Cyng, Lorbache Socials: Rowan, Azurel, Cyng ============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C I R C L E M U D 2 . 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CircleMUD was developed from DikuMUD (Gamma 0.0) by Jeremy "Ras" Elson at Johns Hopkins University's Department of Computer Science. All code unique to CircleMUD is protected under a copyright by the Trustees of the Johns Hopkins University. Many, many people contributed to CircleMUD in one way or another throughout the course of its development. Although it's impossible for me to remember them all, I'd like to extend special thanks to (in alphabetical order): Danny Baker, Bill Bogstad, Harold Ervin, Fenris, Jeff Fink, Furey, Gnort, Sharon Goza, Bryan Jolson, Steven Lacher, Jay Levino, Fred Merkel, Catherine Stanton, Naved Surve, and Tim Stearns. Circle would be different in some way without the contributions of any of these people. CircleMUD is available for anonymous FTP at ftp.cs.jhu.edu in pub/CircleMUD. Its author can be contacted at jelson@cs.jhu.edu. ============================================================================ Original game idea, concept, and design: Katja Nyboe [Superwoman] (katz@freja.diku.dk) Tom Madsen [Stormbringer] (noop@freja.diku.dk) Hans Henrik Staerfeldt [God] (bombman@freja.diku.dk) Michael Seifert [Papi] (seifert@freja.diku.dk) Sebastian Hammer [Quinn] (quinn@freja.diku.dk) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Additional contributions from Michael Curran, Bill Wisner, Mads Haar, and Stephan Dahl.
