As items are used and worn, they take abuse, whether from combat
or simple everyday use. There are people in the Realms who can
repair such items. Bring the items to be repaired to one of these
people.

Type "repair" follow by the name of the object, and if the person
is able to, it will be repaired for a fee. Of course some objects
are more durable than others. Looking at the item will give an idea
of its condition and material. If you are unsure whether the repairman
can fix it and what it will cost, use the "cost" command to have
the item appraised.
