.TH aberd 6 "15 October 1996" "pDirt Beta 2" "pDirt MUD Documentation" .SH NAME aberd -\ pDirt MUD Deamon .SH SYNOPSIS .B aberd [ .BI \-p port ] [ .BI \-d dir ] [ .BI \-cfkvih ] [ .BI \-n count ] .SH DESCRIPTION .B aberd is the name of the daemon that runs the pDirt MUD. It is used to start the MUD, accept players via a TCP/IP connection. The deamon is loaded into memory at startup and will remain there untill a vital error occured. Most signal are handled internally, allowing it to stay alive even when segmentation faults occur. .SH OPTIONS .TP .B \-p port Start the mud and connection to the specified port instead of the default one. .TP .B \-d data directory Use specified data directory instead of default (../data/) .TP .B \-k Kill the other MUD, if one exsists. .TP .B \-c Clear the syslog file at startup. .TP .B \-n count Set the maximum numbers of players to count.
