Perhaps you'd need both 'say' and 'interrupt'? This would make socialising more of a one-on-one thing rather than the usual groups of people who seem to gather together in muds to talk (and global channels would be out of the question unless they used text). Having said that, proper speech on a graphical mud is IMO far better than text coming up on the screen.
