North East Corner~
You're in the North East corner of the Pit of Decay.  You notice that there is
a small neat little pile of bones that have been left here.  Then you notice
that something about it still seems to be moving.  You realize that it's snakes
crawling through the bones.  Ick!  The stench here seems to be unconquerable
as you go through this pit, trying to find somewhere that you can enjoy your
lunch!

of this pit.

You look around and glance at the near-by wall.  Someone has scrawled there in

Safe Haven of the Pit~
Looking down in surprise, you realize, you're standing on moderately clean
ground!  The only ooze on this floor is that from the previous pairs of feet
that have tracked it through.  Then, another surprise comes, there's no bugs
here to pester you.  A general aura of peace extends from the healer.  Maybe
you've finally found that nice spot to have your lunch.  Still hungry?

Along the West Wall~
Lying under a pile of the strange ooze of the pit, lies what looks like some
type of mound.  At a closer glance however, you realize that the ooze is
actually covering the remains of some poor adventurer.  But, the ooze is
beginning to eat away at the remains!  Ick, maybe it does serve a purpose
after all.  You wonder if it waits for you to die, first.

The Pit of Decay~
You find yourself in the actual pit, itself.  The ground is covered with a
thick ooze that looks slimy.  You hope you don't fall into it!  Around you a
horrid stench rises and makes you reel.  Altogether, you're looking forward to
getting out of this place sometime soon!  Oh look, there's a finger lying in
the ooze.

Within a tunnel~
This dimly lit passageway is damp and musty smelling, and far off in the
distance water can be heard dripping.  The scurrying of some kind of
creature echoes off the moss-encrusted walls, and various other strange
sounds resound.  In the dim light an exit north can be seen, and the grate
leading back to where you came from is here.

North West Corner~
This corner is surrounded by a strange ooze that is unlike other places.
Then you realize why, it's pulsating a faint orange!  Ugh, and now it's
moving!  Oh no!  Oh wait, now it's not, and it's not glowing either.  It's just
a rotting orange and banana peel being carried off by a chicken.  You realize
that you're now beginning to sweat, too bad there's no wind in here.  It just
might have improved the smell!

A Four-Way Intersection~
There are exits in all of the four cardinal directions.  None of them
look promising.  All are too dark to see beyond the doorways so you are
afforded no clues as to which route is the safest to take.  The scratching
of some type of animals can be heard echoing throughout the area, and the
air is damp and musty.  The faint sounds of maniacal laughter can also be
heard.  This doesn't look good.

The Crazed Workshop~
The first thing that catches your eye in this room is the amount of blood
covering the floor, walls, and most surfaces here.  Various other bodily
fluids and matter join in to make this room look like total carnage.  Dim
lighting makes it difficult to see distinctly, so all that can be discerned
are a large table against the west wall, what appear to be piles of body
parts, a few piles of what appear to be organs, and heading the mayhem, a
large shape bent over the table, whistling while he works.

Golem Workshop~
This room seems to be another mob repair shop.  Blood and gore are
splashed all over, and the smell of rotting flesh inspires nausea.  Various
limbs and organs are piled up haphazardly all over and bodies in various
stages of decomposition are stacked up awaiting their turn under the knife. 
The only exit here is back to the west.

As you move further into the heart of this horrid place, the air seems
heavier, the noises more distinct, and the sounds of vermin closer.  Mold
hangs in fuzzy sheets in some places, making the footing trecherous.  Move

The sounds of pain-filled cries can be faintly heard here, along with the

Cadaver Room~
All around are piles of cadavers and arms.  Blood and tissue are
splattered all over the walls, floor, and the golem.  The metallic smell of
blood fills the air, mixed with the smell of decaying tissue.  There is a
huge table next to the north wall and a massive creature is bent over it.

Stagnant water flows through here, making it smell rather foul. 
Something brushes across your ankles, but it's shape cannot be distinguished

Ivory Golem's Mob Factory~
A semi-cheery room in such a dismal place, this room seems as if it
belongs somewhere else.  There are bodies neatly stacked, awaiting their
turn under the careful ministratings of this seemingly harmless creature. 
The creature seems to be treating them with loving care as he pieces them
back together.

Ivory Golem's Workshop~
This room seems a bit more pleasant than all the rest.  Things are as
clean as they can possibly be considering the circumstances.  The corpses
are neatly piled and in as good a shape as a dead mob can be.  Shelves line
the walls and upon them are jars filled with a murky liquid and what seems
to be eyeballs.  Against the east wall is a table and behind it is a
creature hard at work.

Dismal conditions abound here.  The walls and floor are decayed and the
smell of rot fills the air.  Dampness chills one to the bone.  Not a very

Ivory Golem's Laboratory~
Yet another nicer place in this tomb of horror, this room is as clean as
the other two Ivory Golem's workplaces, or as clean as they can get a room
in this dank, damp area.  The corpses of undistinguishable mobs are neatly
piled, awaiting their rebirth.  It seems this is the final checkpoint before
they get hearts put in and sent on their way to once again die by brave
adventurers' hands.  The supply of corpses seems endless.

The Tunnel~
This three-way intersection is much the same as all the others.  The air
is heavier here as you are in the bowels of this tunnel system.  Mold covers
just about every surface visible, and the squeaking' of some sort of vermin

door to the north.  It may be beneficial to look at each exit.

Marble Golem's Office~
This is the office of the head golem, the Marble Golem.  He oversees all
the work done on the mobs by the golem workers.  For one with such a high
position, this office is sparcely furnished.  A simple oak desk, a plain
chair behind it, and a few cheap-looking pictures adorning the walls are all
you can see.  The pictures appear to be water-damaged and have a fine
dusting of mold on them.  The desk and chair have been warped by years of
exposure to the damp conditions here.  The only exit here is to the south.

The Tunnel~
Strange smells fill the air here, as if someone was burning flesh.  The
air is so heavy with it that it makes one want to wretch and gag.  The
lighting is dim and it makes it hard to discern shapes.  Water swirls around
