This area is the clearing of the forests.  Wild flowers grow in the
bushes surrounding the area.  Small trees grow around the clearing but the
area inside is too tightly stomped down for any life to poke through.  A
hole in the ground leads down and a dark trail splinters off to the north.

Tunnel~
The trail here ends and enters into a tunnel.  The tunnel is made of a
dark colored material reflecting the light from the entrance.  The walls in
this area are smooth except for a carving on a far wall.

Over the centuries, they've evolved quite a military clan system with the

A Rather Nondescript Crypt~
You've wandered into what passes for the crypt low-rent district, a
wooden box rests on the granite floor with nothing in it.  The granite here
changes slightly from the others.  This granite has been mixed with other
minerals to form a speckled colored rock-face.  The simple wooden box in the
middle of this crypt is empty and its simple lid sits on the ground broken
and battered.  For certain, something did not like to be boxed up.

An Abandoned Smithy~
Although this room looks abandoned when you first glance at it from
behind the rubble, you notice a huge anvil and the very hot looking forge
next to it, in the center of the room.  There is also a huge hammer set upon
the anvil.  It looks like a very good tool.  It's pretty easy to figure out
that this is where the dwarves come to create their metallic masterpieces.

Northern Clan Tunnel~
You get the distinct impression you really don't belong here.  The

Northeast Corner~
Broken weapons litter the floor here...  The majority of them being axe
handles.  There is the occasional mace head and dagger.  The floor is

Tunnel Intersection~

Mine Tunnel~

Mining Tunnel~
You can see by the bare walls that the dwarven miners didn't miss much in
their findings.  The corridor is pretty bare of traffic as well.

This part of the mine comes to an abrupt stop. Something big must have
happened to make the mining dwarves put a halt to their work.

Tunnel~
The rock here is laced with gold and several broken mining axes litter
the floor.  Seems there was a rockslide of some sort, judging from the
rubble near the western wall.

South Tunnel~
The excavation of this area has only recently been started. Fresh piles
of boulders and small pebbles from digging lie about. A few mining tools
can also be seen. An empty silence echoes in this area.

Having reached the bottom of the central core you breathe a sigh of
relief.  You managed to outwit the gods with your continued survival.  There

Crystal Tunnel~
You are amazed at the brilliance of the work here.  It must have taken a
lot of pick-axes to make the slightest dent in this very expensive looking
rock.  You are troubled by the notion that if they would go to all this
trouble, there must be a pretty good reason nearby.

Royal Guard Station~
The guards here look like they'd enjoy beating your paltry hide against
these granite walls just for thinking bad thoughts about the King.  By the
way, the King can be heard shouting profanities to the east. It sounds like
he hasn't been having a very good day.

Throne Room~
This is the King's Throne room.  A jewel encrusted throne shows of the
kings wealth.  It shows that in the olden days mining must had been somewhat
profitable.  Gems, rubies and diamonds shine intensely as you enter.

Bellow Fellow Tavern~
This is the battlerager party room.  A couple of the patrons are
comfortably propped in the chandeliers snoring soundly.  Beer and smoke
stains smear the walls.  In between rages this room gets a lot of use.
