An Overlook~

A Dusty Road~
The dusty road stretches further north from here. Back to the south, you

A Dusty Road~
The road descends rather steeply now. To the north you can see a golden

Before a Golden Gate~
The road is blocked to the north by a huge gate made from pure gold resting
on two great stone pillars. The gate is locked tightly and any attempt to
break it down would appear to be futile. Fortunately, you remember the golden

A Road Crossing~
You have reached a wide road crossing. One path leads north deeper into the
valley and south to the golden gate, the other path heads up the mountains

Red-Green Intersection~
This intersection is very busy. Dragon Worshippers and Severant are coming
and going all the time. To the east, you see torched land while west of
this intersection it appears that something or someone has etched the
rocks with some strong acid.
Nearby, you notice and old and rusty grate on the ground. It appears to be

Blue-Yellow Intersection~
The main road through the valley is met by smaller trails from the east and
west. East of here, the landscape seems to glow in an azure colour while to
the west all things are covered with some disgusting yellow slime.
A large, dragonshaped fountain marks this small square. The water from it
is fresh and clear...and you feel very thirsty all of a sudden.

Black-White Intersection~
You have come to yet another intersection. One path leads off to the east
into something that could be best described as a swamp hole, while to the
west the land and trees are covered with show and ice. A chilling breeze
blows from that direction clearing the air from the swamp gas that drifts
from the east.
Nearby, you notice a large hole in the ground. It is covered with a strong
lit that shines in all the colours of the rainbow!

Gold-Silver Intersection~
You have reached another small plaza in the valley. The main road is
intersected here by another road going from east to west. Looking eastward,
you see silvery trees and bushes while to the west, everything seems to be

Preparing for the Great Tests~
You have reached the northern end of the Dragon Vale. A huge door is
blocking your way into the mountain caverns north of you. Nearby stands a
giant tree, almost as high as the surrounding mountains. West of here,

The First Test~
In order to reach the famed shops of the land of the Dragons, you must
first pass through a series of tests. The first one, which you are facing,
is a very large and very nasty viper. Even as you try to sneak past it, it
rears up in preparation to strike.

The Second Test~
The second of the tests to reach the land of the Dragons is equally if
not more difficult than the first. A giant cobra hisses in the bottom of a
pit, threatening you with its flared out hood and large fangs. The putrid
stench of previous victims fills the rooms, and skeletons of all races
litter the ground.

The Final Test~
Finally, you have reached the final test. If you can only pass the giant
mamba, all of the riches of the Dragon lands will be at your feet. Passing
the mamba will be no small feat, however. The immense size of the snake
sends quivers through your legs. Incensed by the interruption into its pit,

Entrance to the Royal Lair~
The tests behind you, you now face the entrance to the lair of the
Dragons. The famous dragonslayer Siegfried stands guard over the lair,
questioning any who seek audience with the royal family. The entrance is
immense: it stands 15 meters high and is equally broad. You stand in awe of
the incredible size of the royal lair.

An Intersection in the Royal Lair~
The royal lair is a finely carved series of caverns. Each is smoothly
vaulted high in the air, and the stone seems to be granite. Carvings of
Dragons roasting entire villages of people are carved into the walls, a
sight that makes you uncomfortable even though aggressions between mortals
and Dragons is long in the past.

The Lair of the Dragon Prince~
The lair of the dragon prince is opulent. Large piles of jewels and
coins lie strewn about him, and some of the jewels can be seen encrusting
his body. Apparently, the many years of sitting on the jewels caused them
to become a part of his skin. He looks like he would be a formidable enemy
despite the years of apparent laziness. The stench of dragon and the acrid
scent of smoke fill your nostrils.

The Way Out...~
You have discovered the way out of the tests. The dragons, knowing that
foolish mortals will often attempt to gain entrance into their domain, have
offered a way out other than death. Not the incredibly cold-hearted beasts
that most people believe they are, the dragons are actually very
compassionate. The only request they make of the mortals is that they be
left in peace. Knowing this won't happen, though, they devised the tests to
keep them out. They also have employed the assistance of Garby to tend the
wounds of the mortals lucky enough to escape the trials.

A Catacomb leading to His Majesty~
This finely carved tunnel leads to the most powerful ruler in all of the
realms. The Dragon King's word in law, and none would dare cross him. The
roof of the rock tunnel must be at least 20 meters in the air, and they are
purposefully left in their rough state to show off the many quartz crystals
hanging from them.

Lair of His Majesty~
You stand in the presence of the Dragon King. His Majesty puts you in
awe. Not only is he the largest dragon you have ever seen, you are also
stunned by the splendor of his scales; they outshine the immense amount of
gold lying strewn about on the floor. For a second, you almost consider
taking some of the bounty of this room. Another look at the King changes
your mind.

Royal Potions & Herbs~
The smell of pungent herbs and the heavy cloud of smoke which greet you
at the door immediately reveal your location: the royal alchemist's shop.
Various packages of herbs and incense are strewn about the shop, and a large
humanoid with features reminiscent of a dragon looks disdainfully at you.
The natural magick of these shop items are well known throughout the land,
and the knowledge of how to make them is a well-guarded secret.

A catacomb leading to Her Majesty~
This large tunnel carved out of the rock leads to the Queen of the
Dragons. Equally as impressive as her husband, this wise ruler is the
King's closest advisor. Large opals which have been imbedded in the ceiling

Royal Scrolls & Wands~
The magickal items that fill the shop make you gasp in wonder. Every
type of device possible is here. There are items to make you stronger,
items to enchance how well you do in battle, and amusingly enough, items to
make someone fall in love. A great cauldren bubbles and boils in the back
of the shop, and by the looks of the things floating up now and then, it's
not your average chicken soup.

At a Giant Tree~

Crystal's House~
Everything in this tiny house is just that. Tiny. The owner of the
dwelling likes diminutive things, for being small herself, she prefers to be

little pitcher of Rose nectar, and a plate of ambrosia biscuits. All who
enter are welcome, and she greets each arrival with a kiss and a giggle.

A Gentle Slope~

The Dragon Nursery~
The dragon nursery is kept swelteringly warm in order to insure the
proper development of the tiny dragon bodies inside the eggs. Nurses keep a

in desperate cases help pry them from the shells.

A Small Cave~

dragons have carved these chambers out of solid granite, and you can still

Cavern of the Maidens~
As you enter the room, you are starled to see a group of beautiful young
women. With a start, you realize you must be in the cavern of the maidens.
The beautiful golden and brown tresses of the women flow down over their
shoulders and accentuate the curves of their bodies. The temperature in the
room is very comfortable and is provided by dragon fire. Each woman seems
to have her own bed and personal items. It appears they are being well
taken care of by the Dragons.

A Gentle Slope~

The Dragon Kindergarten~

A Steep Slope~
The steep slope leads high up into the mountains to the east. Dragons
can be seen circling far ahead. The road which you are on is not very good;
it is full of ruts and overgrown with weeds. The dragons have no use for

the wingless visitors which are rare in the Dragon lands.

Cavern of the Teachers~

A Torched Slope~

Before a Smoldering Cave~

Lair of the Red Dragon~
As you enter the Red Dragon's Lair, you immediately see your mistake.

of his lair waiting for something to roast. The quick look you get at him

nostrils, and he moves to attack.

Lair of the Green Dragon~
As you walk in the entrance to the lair, you realize you should have
waited for an invitation from the Green Dragon Lady. Her scales are

Expecting the worse, you carefully pull open the cave entrance and walk
in. A splendid looking blue dragon raises its graceful head and peers at
you intently, then blinks. Prepared for an all-out battle, you are
surprised when she opens her mouth and greets you happily. After talking
with her for a day and a half, though, you think maybe death would have been
better.

Yellow slime drips down the sides of this cave. From the inside of the
cave, you think you can hear the low rumble of a Dragon breathing. All
around you, slime is covering everything, and you feel like you have landed

Lair of the Yellow Dragon~
The lair of the Yellow Dragon is slippery and sticky with yellow slime.
Although the idea of a frost dragon or a fire dragon does not surprise you,
you had no idea that there could also be a slime dragon. You are just about
to laugh when a large and slimey head rears up from the floor. After one
piercing and furious gaze at you, the Yellow Dragon opens its mouth to
attack.

Swampland~
The foul, hideous odor of the swamp is overpowering, and you afraid you
will pass out into the murk of the swamp. With every footstep you seem to
sink deeper into the swamp, and the sucking sound the mud makes at your
boots is disgusting. A small set of red, beady eyes stares at you from the
brush surrounding the swamp.

Before a Swamp Hole~
You are standing before a very large swamp hole. You can't imagine what
could possibly be big enough to have made such a hole, but you guess it must
be a Dragon Lord. Surely only the most foul and evil of the Dragons would
choose to live in this disgusting place. A swamp snake strikes out at you,
and you chop it in half just in the nick of time.

Lair of the Black Dragon~
The lair of the Black Dragon is actually nothing more than a big hole in
the swamp. In the middle of it is the Black Dragon himself. Swamp ooze
slides of his scales as he rises up out of the hole to tower over you.
Puffs of thick, acrid smoke come out of his nostrils, and his eyes burn with
an unholy fire. He seems to be the most incredibly cruel Dragon you have
ever met.

Arctic Wasteland~
Trudging up the mountain path is almost impossible. A huge howling ice
and snow storm surrounds you, tugging at your clothes and chilling you to
the bone. Snow drifts up to three meters high dwarf you, and they are
almost impossible to cross.

The lair of the White Dragon is blindingly bright. Sun streams down
through the ice walls, illuminating everything within. The White Dragon
does not seem pleased to see you, and from the look in her yes, you can tell
she considers attacking you. She must not find you worth her while,
however, for she does not attack. It might be a good idea to get out of
here before she changes her mind, though.

Silver maple trees, birch trees, and other silvery foliage dominates this
slope. The metallic look of the landscape gives it an other-worldly look,

The Silver Dragon is a truly magnificent creature. Here on the inside of
the cave, the walls have been left unpolished, making them seem dull in
coparison with the Dragon Lady. Always concerned about the reception you
will receive from the Dragon Lords and Ladies, you approach her cautiously.
She seems pleased to see you however, and offers you a seat in a beautiful
silver throne.

A Golden Slope~
A thin layer of gold dust covers everything in this area. You reach out
and touch a leaf, and the gold dust sticks to your finger. You are amazed
and curious by this strange dust. It appears to be real gold, but you have
no idea how it could have gotten here. The amount of powder looks like it
could add up to a fortune, though.

color of gemstone, and the rainbow colors are magnificent.
