This command will place you in text editing mode. You eg: insert This will begin inserting at the start of the existing text. insert 4 This will begin inserting text at line 4. ~ # Append~ APPEND - Editor Command This command immediately places you in the text editing mode. All text you type will be added to the end of the buffer. eg: append Start appending text. ~ # Delete~ DELETE - Editor Command Deletes one or more lines of text. eg: delete This will delete ALL existing text. delete 2 This will delete line 2 (if it exists). delete 5 8 This will delete lines 5 through 8. ~ # List~ LIST - Editor Command Lists one more lines of text. eg: list This will list ALL existing text. list 6 This will list line 6 (if it exists). list 9 11 This will list lines 9 through 11. ~ # Color~ COLOR - Editor Command Toggles color code translation on/off. If color code translation is on, printed text will appear in the natural (colorful) form as normally viewed. If color code translation is off, color codes will be displayed in their Crimson II color code form. You will be prompted for the text to search for, and the text with which it should be replaced. eg: replace ~ # Format~ Formats your document so that no lines are longer than 75 characters. This function will wrap entire words so that no hyphens are required. Words will not be wrapped onto lines starting with spaces. Therefore, you should indent your paragraphs. Separating your paragraphs with a space will work as well. eg: format ~ # Undo~ UNDO - Editor Command All changes you have made to the text are thrown away and you are given a new copy of the original text. eg: undo ~ # Save~ SAVE - Editor Command This command saves any changes you have made to the text, and then exits the text editor. ~ # Cancel~ CANCEL - Editor Command This command exits from the text editor, discarding any changes you may have made to the text. The original text is left untouched. You must type the command "cancel" in full. ~ # Clipboard~ CLIPBOARD - Editor Command Lists the contents of the clipboard. eg: clipboard This will list ALL existing text. clipboard 6 This will list line 6 (if it exists). clipboard 9 11 This will list lines 9 through 11. Text from the clipboard is inserted *BEFORE* the specified line. eg: paste This will begin inserting at the start of the existing text. paste 4 This will begin inserting text at line 4. (NOTE: the clipboard persists between editing sessions so you can copy one string. Quit the editor, start editing another and then paste the old one in.) ~ $
