The floors are made of white marble bearing no imperfection, as well as the walls in this area. On the walls are several stands which would normally hold torches, some do and some do not. The distant chanting of monks can be heard echoing throughout the monastery and with the flickering of the light this place creates an eerie sensation. Leading up to a trap door on the ceiling is a small rope latter attached with chains. Along the out side of the tower is a large spiraling staircase that is wide enough for one single person to walk up comfortably. It has no hand rails and looks to be quite dangerous. The tower is made of a white marble and is quite slippy. All surrounding light reflects off of the tower making the marble gleam and shine. Around the edge of the tower, and extending to the semicircle overlook to the north, is a black marble hand rail that is equally slick and smooth. ~ 0 0 1 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5616 1 0 0 D5 ~ trap door~ 1 -1 5614 1 0 0 S #5616 An Overlook~ Looking down from this overlook it can be noticed that the tower is at least five hundred feet from the ground, perhaps even higher. The overlook is formed in a semicircle shape and is composed of a white marble. There is a set of protective rails around the semicircle which seems to be composed of a grey marble and is quite smooth. ~ 0 0 1 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5615 1 0 0 S #5617 A Crampt Tunnel~ This tunnel is extremely cramped and goes straight down into a slightly wider tunnel. Elegant wall paper lines the walls, even as its color has faded with time the elegance remains all the same. Here is where the main supports for the tower are, several cement pillars wrapped in wood sticking out of the ground and attached to the bottom of the tower. This room is well lighted and has many oriental rugs draped over the walls and on the floor.
