Entrance to the House~
You climb the creaking steps up to the front door and pause to catch 
your breath. An eerie silence hangs in the air, and there are no lights 
on in the house. The whole place seems deserted until from the left hand 
side of the house, the dull glow of a light that has just been switched 
on, catches your attention. You notice a path leading round the side of 
the house.

The Reception Hall~
You enter an elegant reception hall, decorated with rich tapestries and
fine oak panels.  A number of portraits line the walls.  A magnificent wide
staircase with carved wooden banisters leads upstairs.

The Side of the House~
You walk from the porch round the side of the house. A light is indeed 
on, and it's shining through a window at the back of the building. Your 
eye catches a large window which looks like it may not be quite closed 
but there are heavy bars across it. The house looks well protected from 
intruders. The path continues round to the back of the house.

The Drawing Room~
You have entered the drawing room, where the Earl entertains his guests.

The Dining Room~
The dining-room looks magnificent. A long table stretches between two 
fine chairs and is laid with gleaming silver cutlery. A rich red

You find yourself in a bedroom that has been prepared for someone. The

The Shaitan Room~
This room is a large, elegantly decorated bedroom, with a four-poster 
bed in one corner. There is a three-piece suite in the centre of the 
room, facing a fireplace. A fire is smouldering, but the room appears to

suggest that this room is very rarely used, and it certainly looks

A small room~
The smell from within the room catches off balance and stops you dead in 
your tracks for a moment. The room itself is unexciting, with bare rocky 
walls and floor. But strewn about the floor are the bodies of two goats. 
Standing over the goats are three huge dogs.

You step into a dimly lit room. A single candle burns on a table on the

The Belial Room~
You enter the room and study its contents. It seems that this room is 
used very little and is perhaps a storeroom.

You enter a bedroom which is lit by a single candle burning by the 
bedside. A heavy, musty odour hangs in the air, which could come from 
all the plants which are standing in pots on the mantelpiece, bedside

Behind the Unmarked Door~
The room you enter is another bedroom which looks as though it is 
waiting for someone to come in and go to bed. The sheets are folded 
back, the fire in the fireplace is warm but dying. Velvet curtains are 
pulled across the window, and along the left-hand wall are fitted 
cupboards. The overall picture seems quite cosy.

Down you fall for several metres until you land in aheap on something
