Insects buzz all around you, biting you contantly. Strange sounds echo through the jungle, echoing strangely. A light fog gathers on the leafy floor, broken only occasionally by the rare shaft of sunlight breaking through the canopy overhead. Your clothes plaster to your skin, as sweat pours of your body. Monkeys leap from tree to tree overhead, and in the distance, the loud howl of a jungle cat can be heard as it stalks it's prey. ~ 0 4 3 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 8306 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 16976 S #16976 The Ancient Statue~ Hacking your way through the overgrowth, you are stunned to find an ancient stone icon looming over you in the dark jungle. The statue looks old beyond belief, the runes carved into it barely noticable, yet despite it's age, within the mouth you find a very fresh offering. Blood drips from the fangs of the icon, and looking inside, you find what looks like a human heart, sitting in a pool of half congealed blood. The smell lmost overpowers you as you look in. The temple looks almost carved out of the jungle, a huge building of solid stone, covered in vines and jungle life. The echoes of the jungle creatures bounce around this clearing loudly, seeming to grow louder the longer you stand there. But as you look, your ears start to tune out the jungle sounds, until they can only hear the eerie chanting coming from within the temple, a chanting that seems to be building to a crescendo. ~ 0 8192 3 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 16977 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 16979 S #16979 The Temple Entrance~ As you approach the temple, you notice a strange moist looking gleam on the walls, but the closer you get, the greater the sense of horror grows. The walls are bleeding. Blood pours down the walls, soaking the ground around the temple, and feeding the plants from a truly hellish source. Quickly you step past the walls, into the vast dark entrance chamber of the temple. Beyond the doorway, you see a fast room, filled with hundreds of humans, covered from head to toe in fresh blood. Their white robes stained with the blood as it pours from vast pipes running around the cieling. At the opposite end of the room stands a single woman, naked except for a thin white loin cloth, soaked completely in fresh blood. Behind her is a vast altar, covered with dead bodies, their chests torn open and blood pouring continuously from their ruptured torso's.
