Note, "formatted for display" means that if it's an NPC, the short description will be used.  
If it's a PLAYER, the player's name (properly capitalized) will be used.

  $j	he/she/it based on sex of the room/obj/mob the prog is on

  $r	the first of the names of a random PLAYER in the room
  $R	the name of a random PLAYER in the room (formatted for display)
  $J	he/she/it based on sex of a random PLAYER in the room

  $n	the first of the names of the character that triggered the prog

  $t	the first of the names of the victim of the action that triggered the prog

  $o	the first of the names of the primary object (ie: A drops B)

  $p	the first of the names of the secondary object (ie: A puts B into C)
  $P	the short description of the secondary object

  $x	the first of the names of the most evil character fighting the prog's owner
  $X	the name of the most evil character fighting the prog's owner (formatted for display)

These variables are only available inside command_progs.  "extra" words are whatever is
typed after the trigger command.  For example, if there was a trigger command of 'pull'
and a player typed 'pull right lever', $d would be 'right' and $D would be 'right lever'.

  $D    All of the "extra" words in the command.
