The Pathway to Adventure is the place where new characters can learn the way of
the game, and the Mud20 system. In the course offered here, you will learn the
game basics, try your first melee, your first skills, your first spells, and
ultimately complete your first level and be ready to embark upon adventure.

If you are a new player to this MUD, the best advice to be given is: take your
time. The Mud20 system is not paced like most MUDs, and there is far more to
the game system than leveling up. And gaining a level is an accomplishment.
Pay attention to your teachers, and you will have a good grasp of making it in
the realms that await you at the end of this journey.

merchants and vagrants mill about as the guards make certain no one gets out

on the eastern edge of the wagon train.

are tightly packed, leaving little room to move inside. Nonetheless, it houses
the broad-armed blacksmith, set on plying his wares at his destination.

{138}As you step inside the curtain of this ornately decorated wagon you note the
elaborate {018}brocade lined {138}ceiling which arches above your head, All round you
note the finely polished wooden cabinetry which has delicately carved patterns
of flowers, {058}fruit and {128}ivy, {138}some of which is expertly painted or richly touched
with gold leaf. Tucked away at the far end of the wagon is a loft bed, draped
with a curtain and accessible only by the small ladder. A tiny table is set
with a simple lantern , a bottle or two of wine and a pair of well used chairs.
Hanging about you note some fine hand sewn silk garments and accessories a few
pouches and other bric a brac.
