1.9.3 is out and it's very stable. Most production sites (including the company I work for) have upgraded, and there's a looming date at which 1.8.x will no longer be supported for bug fixes or feature backports.

Not sure if you all remember me from back in DEC 2011, but I was working on TeensyMUD - Before I start back I was wondering what the most current/stable version of Ruby is now? I believe I was working with 1.8.7 (1.9 was out also) at the time.
