Ok, I am looking for a host and have decided to set up on Zeno's hosting service. I figured, why not make my 5 posts be about the MUD I am planning on making?

So, I already know what races I want to have available. I just need a time period to set it in (modern fantasy, sci-fi, medieval), and then a name appropriate to it.

These are the races I have planned out (the MUD will use the CoffeeMUD database):

*Hawkman
*Canid
*Feline
*Ziljin (a lizard race of my own invention)
*Lohrke
Plus any others I happen to think of. Including humans is still debatable.

Yes, I am trying to find a good name and would like input. I'd also like to get the word out about it before I put it up, hence why I put it in the Promotions section. I think I'm probably going to go with a sci-fi setting just for a hawkman with a laser gun.

You aren't 'promoting' anything though. You are more or less brainstorming publicly.
The name should probably be the least of your initial concerns. Think about it, it's like asking someone to come up
with a title of a book they haven't read - it hasn't even been written yet - and all they know is it has a "hawkman with a laser gun".

From what little we know about your MUD, it's unlikely any of us can come up with a decent title. Nor would it do your game justice.
So far, I would call it "Hawkman". Yeah, kind of lame huh?
