I have hostility towards Scandum, for all the dumb shit he's said in the past, and I don't trust anything he's ever written with regards to clients, or snippets for various codebases. And I will continue to ignore just about everything he works on, until someone I do trust to have a clue in what they're talking about or doing gets involved. Hence why MSSP DID NOT go into any FUSS Project Codebase until after the MSSP protocol was well out of Scandum's control.
MudBytes has a search cloud which is a fairly elegant way to go about it, though it only uses a limited set of variables.
The search cloud is a good idea, but it doesn't use many of the variables. There's also MudStats, which (I believe) only uses it for number of players. But until someone starts using the full data set, there's not really much incentive to fill it all in.

If I had been contributing to a community and every project I touched was blasted because of personality conflicts I would be bitter.
IMO it's better to ignore the hostility and focus on the project at hand. I think there are other people interested in MSSP and MSDP, so these protocols are definitely worth discussing openly, but it's best to avoid getting bogged down in petty arguments with those who have stated openly they have no interest in the project. I'd hate to see a repeat of the MudStandards fiasco.

Mudpedia uses some of the MSSP variables as well. I'll probably flesh out some of the variables there, and it makes for a good resource for people to look up available subgenres.
I thought it was well out of my control, not too mention I'm apparently too stupid to help out Kayle.
This maintainer is done dealing with assholes.
protip: I'm not Kayle
