Is it possible to detect the player's screen resolution through telnet? The reason I ask is because I am setting up my score command a bit differently than normal… but I noticed I have a TON more screen real estate on my wide screen than on my 1024x768…. and the wide screen makes the score command just look funky. I want to have the game auto detect the resolution and output a score based on that.

No, not unless you add client support. You can detect window size with e.g. NAWS but that isn't really the same thing.
