I assume it's due to the DC relocation, but I thought I'd mention MB IMC2 is down.

This is a good opportunity to point out some things:

1) You really ought to remove the "Intermud Superlist" link from the MB intermud page, as it does really, really horibile things to Firefox when Server 02 is down, apparently.

2) The last chat on the MB intermud logs is from well over a month ago. It really might be time to retire that front page widget.

3) I forget what 3 was for.

4) I have it on good authority that MB admins flat out don't care about MB intermud anymore. It really might be time to hand the reins over to someone who does care.

While people care about intermud, who does care about MB intermud?

Actually, the DNS on your imc connection could be stale?

Ah if you changed IP that would do it.

What's the new IP? Not everyone's client does DNS resolution.

Also these pages need updating:

http://server02.mudbytes.net/

Also see points 1, 2, and 4 above.

It's both sad and puzzling. I don't understand why Kiasyn would go to the trouble of reinstating
the server but not bother fixing the logging and leave the broken front page widget. I'm quite serious about
turning over the network to someone who won't just let it rot. It's a shame to piss away a network
out of sour grapes.

Yeah, it is kind of sad to see it die a slow, painful death. I'm sure there's someone who'd like to take an active role in keeping it going.

didn't notice - the imc servers were shuffled around recently and the copy of megabot and talon that was running was an older copy, so the logging was not going to the expected location.

no sour grapes here, if anyone is interested speak up

Hmm. So, "We need volunteers…except for Crat"?

Considering I have a proven track record of years of running and developing
a successful intermud, it seems to me I'm about as ideal a volunteer as you can get.

Unless I'm missing something, we're grown men and should be able to put
aside petty grudges and work together at a project we share interest in.

Out of curiosity, what percentage of MUDs connecting to IMC do not support DNS resolution?

DS muds can do DNS lookups but generally they do not because they use a separate binary handler for it and most people don't bother setting it up.

Last time I checked, prior to the relocation, more than half of the muds connected to MB IMC2 were DS muds.
