Hey there,

Computer tech question for those that can help.

When doing a restart of my computer two days ago it did a POST test beep code.

It did short-short-long five times in a row.

BIOS Version/Date Phoenix Technologies, LTD 5.09, 6/8/2007

On a shutdown, and fresh start it does not output the beep code.

I tried looking through the tables for the POST pattern, but did not see (or perhaps couldn't understand) enough to match my error with the errors listed.

Any help appreciated.

The symptoms you describe, 1 long and 2 shorts usually means something is wrong with the video card. Although the order you mention isn't listed exactly that way.

That is what threw me. It is 2 short and 1 long, 5 times in a row, and only on a restart. Will see if I can check/swap my card out and see if it helps.

Thank you for the answer.
