Quite true; but If I take the quote from Caliban in the right context (I've skipped a lot of messages recently, since the list didn't like me using a different reply-to address; I've changed it back for now) - the point about players being somewhat bigoted in *some* cases is quite right. To cite an example, I have a very intelligent, very friendly associate on many games, who is one of the nicest people I've ever met RL, yet, she turns her nose up at any attempts to aliken a MUSH to an LP, because shes been quite literally trained to do that by others. > > years of roleplaying doesn't, either. Unless the prattling is taken from a critical analysis point of view, analysing the pros and cons of the base, for use apart from it - but you seem to rule that out by context, rather than not know it. ;) At any rate, this discussion has kinda been beaten to death now. :) Regards, -Matt Chatterley http://user.itl.net/~neddy/index.html "He can't stop us, we're on a mission from Glod!" - Soul Music (Pratchett)

References:

Re: [MUD-Dev] RP=MUSH/PG=MUD

From: Adam Wiggins <nightfall#inficad,com>

Prev by Date: Re: [MUD-Dev] "short" Introductory Message (fwd)

Next by Date: Re: [MUD-Dev] Alright...
