MudOS hints for the RS/6000:

Don't use bsdmalloc or smalloc.

Some earlier versions of AIX (e.g. 3.1) have problems which affect MudOS.

Read the Makefile for comments referring to the RS/6000

Bison uses alloca() (at least on the RS/6000) so you should stick to yacc.
