Okay, this code is yours to do whatever you want to with, except:

1) anything that breaks the diku license.doc agreement

2) not give credit for the copper3 code - this need only be a mention
in a publically readable credits file along the lines of: {based on|
borrows from|includes|whatever} code from Copper III.

3) I'm sure I'll think of something else...

What to do with this?

First of all, it won't compile. There are certain things I don't want
to distribute at this point, and I don't have the time to make sure
what I tar up will compile. You can probably get by with stub values
for missing functions, or just removing those references.

When browsing the code, check out structs.h first - a lot of the code
changes were dictated by changing the structures here. It's probably
much easier to understand things with that knowledge.

I have the Makefile set up to put object files into a separate
subdirectory, taking from the variable ARCH which ought to be defined
before calling make (or you can define ODIR correctly within the
Makefile). I use the same code directory across several machines, and
this makes it handy for keeping things separate.

You will need to put a copy of config.h in your object directory and
change its values appropriately.

If you need to change something to make it compile on your machine,
let me know the machine and the necessary change, and I'll try to
make it easier in the next rev.

It's probably not worthwhile to try to convert your favorite
areas to the c3 system. Only the rooms will go across with little
difficulty, and it will be hard to achieve the same feel, most
likely. I don't mean to discourage anyone; this is just part
of the attempt to break down area boundaries. Does anyone think
the Matrix made any sense?

FYI - I probably won't remember to delete my override password all
the time before putting this up (if ever). It's right there in nanny.c
(look for "podtor") - you very well might want to remove it or put in
your own if you plan to use this code for your own mud.
