Near the Elfin Citadel~
You have wandered onto the grounds of the great Elfin Citadel.  To the north,
you see the large structure with protruding balconies, and large moat
surrounding.  From this direction, you sense a great feeling of happiness
and joy.  As your curiosity inspires you to go east, you notice an old
sign that has almost completely fallen to the ground.
It reads:
         CAUTION: STRANGE MAGICAL POWERS LIE TO THE EAST!!!

You are on the drawbridge, which you judge to be able to support a thousand
men your size.  It is made of solid iron, and appears to be well maintained.
You are thankful for this because of the unfriendly moat which lurks below 
you on both sides!

The Great Entryway to the Elfin Citadel~
As you look around you, you sense the power of the kind Elfin people.  While 
they represent good, you would not want to get on their bad side!  The 
tapestries and furniture make the entryway even more grand than you had 
imagined.  There is a large chandelier above you.  It emits a soft glow of 
white light, covering the room like an angel's wing.  To the east, there is 
some kind of lounge area; to the west, there is room that overlooks the moat, 
and to the north lies the dining area.

You find yourself in one of the cleanest, most decorative dining halls in the 
land.  You stare in awe at the tiled ceiling, which forms a unicorn when the 
light hits it at the correct angle.  You feel safe here, considering the head 
of the Elfin Guards is sitting here.  To the west, the base of a stairwell is 
hidden by a curtain.

You are standing in the kitchen that serves the entire Citadel.  It is
immaculately clean, and there is a spiral staircase, most likely leading to 
the supply room.  As you look down, though, you realize that it is very dark, 
and you will need a light source to continue.

place that the Elfin people have stored nasty monsters and evil creatures
so that they may not again disturb the peaceful Elfin lifestyle.  These
creatures are very dangerous and you probably don't want to get too close!

pieces of artwork on pedastals along the massive handrails of the stairs.

You have entered the astrologer's room.  He advises the king on many matters 
to do with his kingdom.  Therefore, the king wished to keep him by his side
at all times.  If you look up, and allow your eyes to adjust to the difference
in lighting, you can see the king's walk-in-closet.  There is a rope that one 
can climb up to see the king.

This is where the astrologer arrives to deliver messages of the future to the
king.  You presume that he gets back to his room through some type of magic
that you have not yet discovered.  In the king's closet, you see many fine
robes, but the king's slippers stand out to you as being impressive.  The 
Royal Bedroom is nearby to the west.

The Royal Bedroom~
This is the bedroom of the Elfin King and Queen.  How lucky they must be
to enjoy such extravagence... they even have their own private bodyguard
in the room, waiting to protect them if anybody evil attempts to harm the
good couple.  The bed is made of the finest material, and they have a view
of the Elfin orchards, one of the finest orchards in the land!  The king and
queen have a right to be proud of all that they have worked so hard for.

bathroom to shame.  The handles for the faucets and doors are all made of
gold.  The water is pumped into a tub, which is made all of white marble.
You can see a trapdoor that the king and queen use to drop dirty clothes to
the workers below.
