#16400 Before the Labrynth~ Before you stands a great grim tower. You hear the screams and shrieks of banshies, ghouls and monsters. Screams and shreeks th at makes you shiver. The tower's shape changes everytime you blink your eyes. ~ 51 0 7 D0 The ice appears REAL thin that way!~ ~ 0 -1 16405 D1 The small cove ~ ~ 0 -1 16401 D4 The exclusive zonelord boardroom lies above. ~ ~ 0 -1 8311 D5 The great market square of Midgaard lies below. ~ ~ 0 -1 3014 S #16401 The cove~ There is no vegetation on this part of the land. Everything you see is covered with a thin layer of frost that hasnt been touched in years. To the east, an eerie fog settles over the land and to the west is the river. ~ 51 0 2 D1 The path ~ ~ 0 -1 16402 D3 The river is here, freezing over.~ ~ 0 -1 16400 S #16402 The path~ As you walk down the path, it become completely emcompassed in a thick fog. It is hard to see 2 feet in front of you! The path returns west and possibly east, but who can tell in this fog? That might have even been a trail to the north. ~ 51 0 4 D0 It appears to be a small, rocky trail. Do you trust your eyes in this fog?~ ~ 16 -1 16404 D1 Hmmmm, looks like the trail continues?~ ~ 0 -1 16403 D3 There is a cove there, frozen over. ~ ~ 0 -1 16401 S #16403 The foggy path~ The fog is EXTREEMLY thick here. You continue to trip over small things that you would swear weren't there a second ago. This fog is so thick that you can probably reach out and get some to take home with you! You can probably go most directions, but who knows? ~ 51 0 3 D0 There is lots of fog that way! ~ ~ 0 -1 16411 D1 It is quite foggy that way! ~ ~ 0 -1 16409 D2 The fog is real thick that way! ~ ~ 0 -1 16410 D3 The fog is too thick to see anything!~ ~ 0 -1 16402 S #16404 The trail ~ The trail here climbs the side of a cliff. It becomes rather steep here, and loose rock makes climbing difficult. The view from the top of this cliff must be awsome, for from here the scenery is simply amazing! You can see from here to the end of the earth, and maybe just a little farther. The trail continues north and through the fog it appears that there is a path to the south. ~ 51 0 5 D0 The trail goes up and around a corner. ~ ~ 0 -1 16406 D2 You think you can see a pathway.~ ~ 16 -1 16402 S #16405 The thin ice!~ As you step on to the ice you wonder, is the ice too thin? Then, as you hear loud cracking noises and the ice beneath you gives way, you realize it is too thin! The current swiftly washes you and your equipment of to the netherworlds under the ice, never too be seen again! Sorry, you are DEAD!~ 51 8198 8 S #16406 The trail turns~ This is the top of the cliff. Hold your breath for what you are about to see will certainly take it away! The view of the surrounding lands is one of the most awsome there is! From here a small village can be seen at the base of the cliff and far off to the east, there is a rainbow of the likes you have never seen! It appears to be almost solid, and rests just off the ground. Could this be the fabled Rainbow bridge to Asgaard? There trail returns south down the face off the cliff and there is a small ledge to the west. ~ 51 0 5 D2 The trail slopes downward, leveling out a little. ~ ~ 0 -1 16404 D3 There is a small, crumbling ledge there. ~ ~ 0 -1 16408 S #16407 The hidden cave~ This small cave is apparently being used as a dwelling. There is a cot in one corner and a table is set against the wall. There are several indentions that have been carved into the sides of this cave, all filled with various bottles and jugs. They are all labled in a language you dont seem to recognize, although it looks familiar. ~ 51 8 5 D1 The wall shimmers, as if it were made oout of water! ~ ~ 16 -1 16408 S #16408 The ledge~ There is almost no room for you to stand on this ledge. As you peek over the edge, it begins to crumble! Lucky for you, your reflexes are quick, or you might have been in the rockslide making its way down the cliff. To bad you came all this way for nothing, as the trail dead ends into a strange looking wall. The only way out is the way you came. ~ 51 0 5 D1 The top of the cliff is that way. ~ ~ 0 -1 16406 D3 The wall shimmers as if it were made of water! ~ ~ 16 -1 16407 S #16409 The foggy path~ This path is so foggy, you hardly know which way is up! There are some strange noises coming from out of the fog, but from which direction? You can go in all directions. ~ 51 8 3 D0 Really foggy that way! ~ ~ 0 -1 16409 D1 Foggy, real foggy! ~ ~ 0 -1 16411 D2 It is REAL foggy! ~ ~ 0 -1 16403 D3 The fog is increadably thick that way! ~ ~ 0 -1 16411 S #16410 The foggy path~ This path is so foggy, you hardly know which way is up! There are some strange noises coming from out of the fog, but from which direction? You can go in all directions. ~ 51 8 3 D0 The fog is getting annoying! ~ ~ 0 -1 16411 D1 The fog clears! ~ ~ 0 -1 16412 D2 How about some more fog? ~ ~ 0 -1 16410 D3 Fog, fog, fog, and more fog. ~ ~ 0 -1 16409 S #16411 The foggy path~ This path is so foggy, you hardly know which way is up! There are some strange noises coming from out of the fog, but from which direction? You can go in all directions. ~ 51 8 3 D0 Hmm, more fog. ~ ~ 0 -1 16403 D1 This fog is getting old! ~ ~ 0 -1 16409 D2 Lots of fog that way! ~ ~ 0 -1 16403 D3 Yup, more fog that way! ~ ~ 0 -1 16409 S #16412 The clearing~ Here, the fog ends abruptly as if it had run into a wall. From this clearing, you can see a small villiage to the east. The path returns to the fog to the west. ~ 51 0 2 D1 The path enters a small town. ~ ~ 0 -1 16413 D3 Lots of fog that way! ~ ~ 0 -1 16411 S #16413 The well trodden path~ This is where the small path becomes a real road as it enters the town. The ground levels out and the path is much smoother. Although it is a fairly well used trail, there doesn't seem to have been anyone on it in a little while. The path returns towards the fog to the west and the road goes east into the town. ~ 51 0 2 D1 The town of Ashall. ~ ~ 0 -1 16414 D3 There is a small clearing, ending in a wall of fog. ~ ~ 0 -1 16412 S #16414 The main road~ This is a small town, made up mostly of small houses and shops. There are not many people nearby, maybe because of you! A few friendly people say something to you in a language you have never heard before. There is a store to the north that smells good, and the road leaves east and west. ~ 51 0 1 D0 The bakery is there, smelling delicious! ~ ~ 0 -1 16415 D1 The road heads towards the center of town. ~ ~ 0 -1 16416 D3 The clearing is that way. ~ ~ 0 -1 16413 S #16415 The bakery~ This is a pleasant smeeling place, as rightfully it should be. There are several racks of baked goods against the far wall. The only way out is south. ~ 51 0 0 D2 The road. ~ ~ 0 -1 16414 S #16416 The main road~ The mood of this town seems to become more festive as you go. The appears to be some sort of celebration going on here. People are running about, laughing and shouting. The center of this uproar seems to be near the center of the town. The road goes east and west. ~ 51 0 1 D1 That is the center of town. ~ ~ 0 -1 16417 D3 The road towards the end of town. ~ ~ 0 -1 16414 S #16417 The center of town~ This appeared to be the center of activity, but once you get near, it becomes obvious that it is only a long line to get into the hall to the south. There seems to be some sort of festival going on, as everyone is shouting and cheering. There is a very important looking road to the north, the main road continues east and west and you can probably still squeeze into the hall to the south. ~ 51 0 1 D0 There is a well used path, leading towards the keep. ~ ~ 0 -1 16418 D2 The great hall is that way, but it is almost full! ~ ~ 0 -1 16430 D3 The road heads off through the town. ~ ~ 0 -1 16416 S #16418 The royal road~ This is a very wide road, although its not all that impressive. It is, however very wide and flat, as if many men have traveled it at one time. The raod ends at a drawbridge leading to a small but well fortified building. The road goes south towards the center of town and north to the drawbridge. ~ 51 0 1 D0 The drawbridge crosses the moat, filled with frozen water. ~ ~ 0 -1 16419 D2 The road heads back towards the center of town. ~ ~ 0 -1 16417 S #16419 The drawbridge~ This drawbridge guards the home of the leader of the Viking people, St. Olaf. Although not a large building, it is very well guarded and is probably not the best place to try to conquer. The entrance foyer is to the north and the Royal road leaves south. ~ 51 0 1 D0 The entrance foyer winds through the keep. ~ ~ 0 -1 16420 D2 The royal road is there. ~ ~ 0 -1 16418 S #16420 The entrance foyer~ This is a small, dark hallway leading through the keep. The keep itself is a rather small, dank building, not all that impressive. There is a small hallway to the west and the audience chamber of St. Olaf is to the north. ~ 51 8 0 D0 The audience chamber of St. Olaf, enter with respect! ~ ~ 0 -1 16421 D2 The drawbidge leads out of the keep. ~ ~ 0 -1 16419 D3 The hallway leads off into the dark. ~ ~ 0 -1 16422 S #16421 The audience chamber of St. Olaf~ This is a rather dull, empty room. Somehow, you can almost feel the power of the viking people's leader just by the room he rules from. There are two huge wooden thrones sitting at the far end of the room, the only furniture in the room. Upon a closer inspection, the thrones reveal an amazing amount of care and love. They are completly engraved with scenes of different battles from the past and are so well polished, you can see yourself in the shine! There is a door to the east and the foyer is to the south. ~ 51 8 0 D1 There is a small stairwell there. ~ door~ 1 -1 16425 D2 The small, dark foyer ~ ~ 0 -1 16420 S #16422 The hallway~ This hallway is much smaller than the foyer, although it is just as busy. the smell food drifts your way from the far end of the hallway and to the north is door. ~ 51 9 0 D0 The spare bedroom is beyond the doorway. ~ door~ 1 -1 16423 D1 The hallway joins the entrance foyer near the drawbridge. ~ door~ 1 -1 16420 D3 The kitchen is a huge mess! ~ ~ 0 -1 16424 S #16423 The guest bedroom~ This is the spare bedroom, often used for Royal guests. It doesn't appear to have been used for a rather long time, as the viking rulers are not known for boarding guests. They usually dont make friends when they "visit" other lands. The only way out is the door to the south. ~ 51 9 0 D2 The doorway leads to the dark hallway. ~ ~ 0 -1 16422 S #16424 The kitchen~ This is the not so neat kitchen of the keep. There are pots and pans tossed into and on top of the cupboards, some even making their way to the floor. It appears as if though someone made a huge meal here and then left in a big hurry. The hallway is to the east. ~ 51 9 0 D1 The dark hallway. ~ ~ 0 -1 16422 S #16425 The stairwell~ This is a small, spiral staircase. It is only one level high, and not very ornate. There are no windows in this stairwell, thus it is very dark. To the west is the audience chamber of St. Olaf and there is a landing at the top of the stairs. ~ 51 8 0 D3 rstat ~ door~ 1 -1 16421 D4 The stairs end at a small landing. ~ ~ 0 -1 16426 S #16426 The landing~ This is a small landing at the top of the staircase. There is a large wooden door to the east with a strange sign on it. The only other way off the landing is back down the stairs. ~ 51 8 0 D1 The landing leads into a short hallway. ~ ~ 0 -1 16427 D5 The spiral staircase. ~ ~ 0 -1 16425 S #16427 The short hallway~ This hallway only leads to two doorways, one north and one south. The landing is to the west. ~ 51 8 0 D0 The bedroom of the greatest viking leader, St. Olaf. ~ ~ 0 -1 16428 D2 The bedroom of St. Olaf's only son, Prince Peter. ~ ~ 0 -1 16429 D3 The doorway leads to a small landing. ~ ~ 0 -1 16426 S #16428 St. Olaf's bedroom~ This is the only room in the entire keep that has any kind of decorations in it. There is a large 4-post bed in one corner with a very elaborate quilt covering it. There are several chests of drawers along the other walls and many paintings hang on the walls. There is a thick rug on the floor that reminds you of many of the furry creatures you have encountered outside of the keep. On one of the drawers is a small wash basin and a small pitcher. The door leads back into the hallway. ~ 51 8 0 D2 The short hallway is that way. ~ ~ 0 -1 16427 S #16429 The Prince's bedroom~ This is the bedroom of the king's only son. His room is nothing like that of his parents, probably more to his liking than to thiers. He has no bed, but rather he prefers to sleep on the ground, laying on several quilts and rugs. There is almost no furniture, most of his worldly possesions are piled in heaps around the room. the hallway is to the north. ~ 51 8 0 D0 The short hallway is just outside the door. ~ ~ 0 -1 16427 S #16430 The entrance to the Great Hall~ The is the only entrance to what appears to be the largest building in the world! 20 men can walk through the doors shoulder to shoulder and have room to spare. However, right now, it is hard to squeeze even one person through the doors because of the crowd that is trying to pour through the door all at once. The center of town is to the north, and the hall continues south. ~ 51 8 0 D0 The center of town is that way, and thankfully it is much less crowded! ~ ~ 0 -1 16417 S #16431 The feast hall~ This appeared to be the center of activity, but once you get near, it becomes obvious that it is only a long line to get into the hall to the south. There seems to be some sort of festival going on, as everyone is shouting and cheering. There is a very important looking road to the north, the main road continues east and west and you can probably still squeeze into the hall to the south. ~ 51 0 1 S $~ #999999
