WEATHER -= zedit functionality =- You notice the INDOORS room flag has been changed to !WEATHER. If you have an underground water swim room, like a cavern, which wouldnt receive weather messages and such. Weather percentages, chances for precip ... the calculations have been modified... the chance of precip is no longer hourly... it is now per day. For example, you want a 50 percent chance of rain for the day in yer zone. Set the percentage to 50% now, simple as that. Storms: Storms will occassionally erupt around the realms. Check your atmosphere type for your zone! Calm - extremely rare. Normal - normal rate of storms (mostly thunderstorms now, still quite rare) Volatile - about twice the chance of storms as in a Normal atmosphere. ALSO, hourly temperature swings play a major role in storm formations. If it goes from 96 to 50 in one hour and its a volatile atmosphere, there is a good chance of a storm brewin and a strike of lightning to smack one of yer outside rooms. Storms will be expanded in the near future, something im fiddlin with. Weather affects will begin to pop up on players and eq! Sleeping in sub zero temperatures is not good for the body. Exposed limbs will begin to take damage if a player is in the icelands where the temperature is -56 degrees. Make these play a role! The icelands for example, should be quite deadly to travel accross at night :) Swing the temp down to like 80 below with like 40 degree fluctuations. Eq may begin to crack under incredibly cold temperatures.... etc etc etc. Weather will begin to pop up in a lot of nifty places. Accumulations (though are still sometimes out of wack) will begin to affect character movement. Players will not be able to travel very well through 300 inches of snow and sleet, etc etc. Though, they can fly :) If it's snowing, a dragon may have a difficult time. If you have set up an environment for your zone, I can test it much faster if you mudmail me. We can coordinate, then I can 'speed up time' to see what types of accumulations you will get and how many storms will ravage yer zone, etc.
