GSTAVES GPOTIONS GWANDS GSTAFFS -=guidelines for wands, staves, potions, and such=- Wands, staves, potions, and other such items are to follow this set of guidelines in order to insure that prices and minlevels and balance are all maintainted as widely as possible. For wands and staves, the prices are multiplied by the number of charges that the spellcasting item has (as opposed to maximum number). Example: Wand of Magic Missiles - Spell level 20 (Cost is 40*20 [800] per charge) Charges: 5 - Total Cost (5 * 800) = 4000. After all these are tabulated, the following modifiers should be applied: Item is a Potion : Cost * 1 Item is a Scroll : Cost * 1 + .25 Item is a Wand : Cost * 1 + .25 Item is a Staff : Cost * 1 + .50 Item is in a hometown: Cost * 1 + .25 Final Example: Scroll of Berserking: Level 30 (Found in Hometown: Aria) Spell 1: Haste (4000) * 1 Spell 2: Strength ( 500) * 2 Spell 3: Curse (-800) * 0 -------------------------------- Total Cost: 3700 Item is a scroll (+.25) and is in a hometown (+.25) Thus: 3700 * 1.5 = Final cost of 5550.
