entity cloaked in mystery, in half-truths, and in uncertainty.  Many in
the realms do not even believe he truly exists, having grown up hearing
tales of the "Nightmare Boogeyman" that their parents used to scare them
into behaving.  However, rumors persist that he is real, that he has
begun to manifest in the realms themselves, and that his purpose is dire,
perpetuating disruption of the sleep each being needs to function by
sending bizarre and frightening night visions to them of that which they
most fear.

 If he does exist, he knows more about the inner fears and desires of
every individual in the realms than anyone, even the Shadowlord.%0
