%1AUCTION BID BIDID%0
%1<<%0 auction commands%1>>%0

Players may auction off unwanted items for almost any price
<100 is the minimum price allowed, by default> to others who
may wish to have them. To do so use the %1auction%0 command.
Enter a price. A number will be assigned to the auction by the MUD
to identify the particular auction from the others going on.

%1auction%6 fez 1500%0

Others may find various information out about an item being
auctioned. Type '%1bid%0' alone to see what items are up for
purchase, which number they are, and how much their owners are
asking for them. To place a bid, type "bid <amount> <auction #>'.
The items will go around through three calls, giving the others the
opportunity to place higher bids and to identify the item.
Identifying items up for auction is simple. Type "bidid <auction#>'.
This costs 500 domars per usage, and gives you a display much like
that given by an identify scroll.

%1bid %61500 23%0
%1bidid %623%0

Important things to remember:
-When your item is up for auction, it is removed from your inventory.
Thus if you leave the game, you will have lost the item forever.
-When you bid, the gold that you've offered is removed from your player.
Thus, if you leave the game, you will lose that money forever.
The money is returned to you if somebody places a higher bid.
