Intersection of Drifts~
Being this deep under the earth one's lungs cry for fresh air while their
eyes can only imagine daylight. A drift with a rather steep ascending grade
leads to the south, intersecting here with a well maintained drift leading east
and west. A large iron gate controls access for continuing north.

abandoned. Possibly stripped of all the iron it had to offer.

right into the rock walls of the mineshaft. You wonder if the shaft

intersection of this drift and others. To the east this drift leads futher
into the mine.

There is a turn in the drift here, with passages leading both to the north
and to the west. The engineering of the change in headings is remarkable. As
one looks towards the corner they notice it is almost a perfect square. There

Supply Room~
Numerous metal hooks driven into the walls of this thirty by thirty foot
chamber allow it to hold a fair ammount of supplies. It is not hard to imagine
there being supply rooms throughout the mine. One would grow weary of carrying
heavy mining implements for too great a distance.

Centered in this room was carved a verticle mine shaft of unreal depth.
One would grow old while waiting for an echo to return from the bottom. Cut
into the ceiling is a small hole to an unknown chamber. Tunnels lead towards

This room with it's wooden plank flooring is about as opulant as one could
expect for a hole that was dug out of rock deep under the ground. The back
wall of the office more than compensates for any deficiency in the decor as
there is a large vein of electrum ore running through the rockface.
