Tall Grass - North Bank of the Durgorin~
To the north, an old tree looms against the sky, a craggy shadow against

the grasslands.  It is about a half-mile away.  South, the might Durgorin

flows noisy, heading east and west.  Far to the northeast, the ancient

crags of the Cairn Mountains form a jagged line against the heavens,

jutting up in a series of pointy, snow-covered triangles.

Tall Grass - East of a Canyon~
Cornered to the south by a mighty river and to the west by a massive

chasm, the grassy plains spread to the east and north.  The display as

the Durgorin falls into the chasm is awe-inspiring. The river, easily a

half-mile wide, flows over the edge and down into the chasm, perhaps

miles and miles deep.  You do not even hear the sound of the water

crashing on the chasm floor, suggesting that it is perhaps bottomless

indeed.

the blackness of its depth.  Across the chasm, you see the sand dunes of

the Naraki desert.

seeking some unknown resting place.

you can see, the long grass of the plains waves in the breeze.  A few

miles to the north, you can make out the slate walls of Brithbarad.  In

the distant west, you see a great chasm, beyond which lies the endless

deserts of Narak.  To the south, you can see the rushing Durgorin.

Muddy River Bend~
This muddy bank stands on a steep downward slope toward the rushing

Durgorin to the southeast.  The river slows for the bend, churning up mud

from the riverbed and depositing it on this bank.  To the north and west,

a vast grassland spreads away from the river.  A few reeds have managed

to sprout in the mud.
