the Empire. The Bloodoathing process unites them in the pursuit of

NAME The Fortress gates~
DESCR
Nestled between two looming towers of ebon on each side, the teeth from a jagged iron
porticullis can be seen above, the first line of defense to the entrace to the Imperial
fortress. If the archers that have a clear shot from the towers on each side, and the
gate is not enough, a stout figure paces back and forth menacingly before the entrance.

NAME Courtyard of the Oath~
DESCR
From beyond the narrow gates to the south, a sprawling courtyard opens up that offers a
fantastic view of the imposing inner keep to the north. An obsidian tablet stands in the
exact middle of the yard, raised upon a planter that is full of crimson flowers. Along
the planter's stone walls has been emblazoned the mighty bloodoath to remind every citizen
that passes of their loyalty to the mighty Empire. Watchtower entrances lie to the west
and east, allowing the defenders of this fortress a commading view of would be raiders.

NAME Inner fortress stairwell~
DESCR
A wide elaborate stair leads upwards into the inner sanctuary of the fortress. Fine
stairs of granite gleam in the torchlight as they winds towards the heart of this defensive
masterpiece. Along the walls beside the stairwell are arrow slits, allowing the residents
of this fortress to fire a deadly barrage of arrows into the sides of any who should dare
challenge the might of this fortress, or of the fiercesome Empire itself.

DESCR
Within this high domed ceiling rests the heart of the fortress. Murals run across the
walls and come to rest in a symbol of the codex under an onyx altar. Depicting the swords
and spells that have defeated past, weaker villages the images spread across the room
filling it with a lust for blood and power. Bathed in the bright colors of the paints is
a monster of a citizen, guarding the codex and his life with a fanatic like zeal.

DESCR
Along the pathway towards the fortress in the north, the pavestones begin to show signs
of wear. With the many booted feet that trample along them in and out of the fortress
it is no surprise. The looming structure is due north, while the rest of the road lies south.

DESCR
The gleaming pavestones seem even more well maintained here, and the workers beside the
road seem to be the reason for it. Their eyes glare from the side of the road, ever fearful
that an imperial knight should come across and chastise and force them back into their
backbreaking labor. The twin ebon towers of the fortress now rise above in clear sight
of the road, and along the top figures move about watching all that is below.

The finely kept cobblestones continue to shine in the sun as carts slowly roll past to
the west. Knights with platemail brandishing the codex stroll about, keeping the peace
and watching for any threats. From the west the grunts of hard labor and the cries of
merchants echo while toward the north the fortified walls of the fortress loom.

NAME Bridge before the Fortress~
DESCR
A masterfully crafted bridge of dark oak cuts an arch over the powerful flow of the river
below. Along the floorboards that make up the walkway has been engraved the symbol of the
imperial codex, and as with the cobblestones along the road, they seem as if a foot has
never fallen upon them. The imposing fortress begins to rise in the distance towards the north.

NAME Before a grand bridge~
DESCR
A fine cobblestone road with no signs of wear leads up to a gradually arching bridge to
the north. A gleaming piece of onyx has been planted deep in the ground along the road
just east, with a bold warning carved into it. Gazing north jagged towers jut into the
sky rising from a solid looking structure, perhaps even a fortress of some sort.

NAME Archway into the Imperial Market~
DESCR
A gleaming archway of obsidian towers into the skies, creating a fantastic entrance into
the teeming marketplace of the Empire. The river thrashes at the banks towards the south
as Centurions stand guard before it, to insure no unsavory characters venture from it and
no citizens become lost in its violet current. The docks continue west, while the
marketplace itself announces itself amidst a gaggle of merchants shouting to the north.

NAME Imperial Docks~
DESCR
A solid slab of stone reaches out towards the south ending in rows of sturdy oak planks.
A shallow bottomed boat rests at the end, bringing goods into the market and the fortress
from lands unseen. An important supply line to the building empire, many guards bearing
imperial crests roam about eyeing all that come near. A roaring marketplace rests north
while the smell of water and the cursing of sailors echoes from the south.

NAME Shallows of the river~
DESCR
Stones jut up from the furious river, allowing a cautious soul to gain access across them
avoiding the main roads. Apparently man-made for the repair of ships on the nearby docks
many sailors run about scraping the hulls of small ships and guarding their vulnerable
cargo. The scent of brewing ale wafts in from Tar Valon to the south, tempting you away.
