Several thatched huts are visible through the wiry branches of the olive trees, encircling the grove like the petals of a flower. Small primitive huts are scattered around the expanse of the open area, and a thick carpet of wild grasses and flowers covers the dark brown earth. Green light filters from the western room day and night, casting a dull pallor of natural decay across the dirt floor and thatched walls and ceiling. ~ 0 8 0 D1 The opening leads out onto the clearing. ~ ~ 0 0 1711 D3 There is a curtain here separating this section from the next. ~ ~ 0 0 1717 S #1717 Back of a Large Hut~ An arched roof opens overhead, culminating in a narrow tunnel that disappears off in dark nothingness. Primitive decorations lean against the thin thatched walls, pressing small indentations into the the dried vegetation, and small pits in the dried earth hold figurines in a variety of postures.
