To the east is the Today's News Network local studio, and to the west the Donim City Militia recruiting office can barely escape attention with all the propaganda holos screaming recruiting slogans at passers-by. ~ 0 0 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 501 0 S #501 Main St.~ Main Street in Donim City is inexplicably swarmed with advertising of all kinds, be it video monitors, animated signs, or the ever intrusive projected hologram. Many advertisers have began to use high-speed retina identifica- tion to further annoy potential consumers by calling their name. Several city activists have lobbied to ban this calling it 'too distracting'. To the west the Donim City Works Department blocks much of the view of the upper levels of the city. It is because of the ammount of crime that the 'Armed Citizen Act' was passed. Allowing citizens to carry protection at all times can have some adverse affects however, and many public business have a weapon check booth at the front. In fact, since Donim City is enclosed in a dome, they had to find new ways to expand their city. Several layers of the city lie above this one, crawling with activity. Nothing compares to the spectacular business of Main Street, Donim City though. To the east is the most trafficked convenience store in the city, the local twentyfour-seven. One could wonder just how many people pass though in just one hour. Donim City Hall stands majestically to the east. Broad limestone steps ascend at least thiry meters, where white marble pillars contrast the black onyx tile of the enclave. The massive dome was constructed from over three thousand metric tons of steel. A network of secure mining shafts stretch for several kilometers beneath the city to provide the materials needed to keep production moving in the city. To the west stands the Miner's Guild, a workers union for those that toil to keep the raw materials flowing into the city. Across the street to the east is the Simulated Reality Coorporation's local simulator hub, where customizable training is available. ~ 0 0 0 Rd 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 506 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 504 0 S #506 Main St.~ Donim City certainly isn't short of commerce. The economy of the city has produced over sixty billion credits worth of industry. A good deal of this money is handled by Donim First Financial, which lies to west. This leaves very little room for the hyrdrogesic farms or pasture land. Because of this fresh vegetables and meat are quite expensive. In fact, if you aren't willing to dine on a little vermin, the only meat available is chicken. Chickens are in great demand and the price remains high. Pete's Poultry, one of the more popular chicken suppliers, is east. Elves also have lost their affinity for nature, and have adapted to city life. To the north Broadway is a spectacle of lights. East is Kreel's Cybernetics. Some gathered in small groups discussing whatever matter they may be. Each one seems assured of his own importance. The stench of death and decay hangs in the air.
