Light shines a warm orange glow over the sawdust floor, and gives a homey feel to the place. The air is musty and smells of mead and body-odor. The top's a bit sticky and could use a good wipe down. You could wait for the barmaid here. The light is warm, but flickering terribly. It doesn't seem to be bothering the patron here. Each has a {ym{Du{yg{x at hand, and often another nearby incase the barmaid doesn't swing by. The air is thick with {yme{Ya{yd{x and {Rsw{rea{Rt{x. The stench is so strong your nose curls up. All the patrons bend their ears to a stout felar sporting a potbelly larger than a {gt{Dro{gll{x's head. He's reveling in old glory, bragging about mercenary work in far lands, and quests for arcane trinkets. And in the other corner there looks like what could be a half assembled still. From the east, across the hallway, the sweet perfume of whatever's in the oven comes here to linger. It even covers up the usual acrid smell of a hard day's work. The table itself is bright oak, making it seem a little out of place compared to the other days. You get the impression it is a recent addition. The stones and mortar in the walls are slate {Dgrey{x, and the light is considerably dimmer here. The ruckus of the rest of the pub barely reaches your ears, yet only a few rooms away. Up ahead you see an ominous figure {Ds{Wi{Dlhouetted{x by a {Ylantern{x in the room behind. The walls are covered with it, as if a huge {rb{Rl{Wa{Rs{rt{x engulfed this area. Wooden beams that appear {Dc{yharre{Dd{x on the corners support the doorway. Just beyond the threshold the warm light of a lantern is cast on the floor. You can hear some low grumbling voices inside, voices uttering things like "{rsuicidal king{x," "{rone-eyed Jack{x," and "{rdeal{x". You seem far away from he rest of the pub. The boisterous patrons from the main part of the bar can barely be heard. The light here is different too. Candles just above the floor light the walkway, but not much above. This corridor is only shadow above the waist. You get a distinct uneasy feeling toward the northern end of the corridor. The light is soft in the corners and the only thing that's lit is a table in the center of the room. The top of the table has been covered in a mossy green, and someone has chalked lines on it. At the table is a half-elf with a banker's brim hat, and white linen sleeves on her arms. There are about 5 chairs at the table, and benches around the side of the room for people waiting to sit at the table. People at the table are playing some game. Wooden beams brace from above the room, but the walls are rock and dirt. Strangely, there are dried leaves in the corner, and you can feel a cool refreshing breeze coming from one of the many secret passages here. ~ 0 AD inside D4 ~ ~ ABZ 0 101007 0 0 S #101009 ~ This corridor is in the way back of the pub. You don't think you should be here. Billing receipts, contracts with brewers, inventory registers, and payroll lists for the employees. By a quick check of the numbers, it looks like the {rDrunken {DZealot{x, despite good business, has been in the red for a long time. In the center of the room an old oak desk, which looks like it was hauled up from the depths of the Dragon Sea for all the barnacles that cover it's sides, is cleared off on the top.
