dark elf^#^
SUBTOPIC-races^#^
::: Dark Elves :::
Dark elves, also known as drow, are the most divergent of the
elven sub-races. Their form is similar to that of other elves,
but their skin colour is the inky black of a moonless night and
their hair is normally pure white or silver. Drow are generally
evil and chaotic in nature, though some outcasts are known not
to be. Drow shun the light and rarely venture forth accept on the
gloomiest and most overcast of days. Drow society is run by the
women, and thus, they are the most powerful of their race. Drow
worship Lolth; the Demon Queen of Spiders; and are excelent
clerics, fighters, and thieves. Usually, the men of this society
become mages as the women are the ones that are permitted to
advance and gain the most power in clerical circles. However,
their skills are also watched carefully by the women, and are not
permitted to become more powerful than they are.
As a player you receive an added weapon class bonus for using weapons
in both hands. Players dark elves are able to find things more easily
when they search rooms, as they have more hightened senses than other
races. As player dark elves are exposed to sunlight, they lose their
other magical powers, such as innate magic resistance, and the spell
casting they were taught as children.

destruct^#^
SUBTOPIC-efun^#^
EFUN destruct()
SYNOPSIS
void destruct(object ob);
DESCRIPTION
Completely destroy and remove object `ob'. After the call to
destruct(), no global variables will exist any longer, only
local, and arguments. If `ob' is this_object(), execution
will continue, but it is best to return a value immediately.
SEE ALSO

^#^
debug_info^#^
SUBTOPIC-efun32^#^
SYNOPSIS
mixed debug_info(int flag, object obj)
DESCRIPTION
Print out some driver internal debug information.
If flag is 0, information like heart_beat, enable_commands
etc. of the specified object will be printed, and 0 returned.
If flag is 1, memory usage information like how many strings,
variables, inherited files, object size etc. will be printed
about he specified object, and 0 returned.
If flag is 2, objects from the global object list are returned.
If the optional second arg is omitted, the first element
(numbered 0) is returned. If the second arg is a number n,
the n'th element of the object list returned. If the second
arg is an object, it's successor in the object list is returned.
Flag == 3 is equivalent to typing ``malloc'' at the command
line. No second arg must be given. Returns 0.
If flag is 4, the required second arg can be 0, "tables" or
"swap" and has the same effect as ``status'', ``status tables''
resp. ``status swap'' on the command line. Returns 0.

dwarves^#^
SUBTOPIC-races^#^
::: DWARVES :::
Dwarves are short, stocky fellows, easily identified by their size and shape.
They average 4 to 4 feet tall. They have ruddy cheeks, dark eyes, and dark
hair. Dwarves generally live for 350 years.
Dwarves tend to be dour and taciturn. They are given to hard work and
care little for most humour. They are strong and brave. They enjoy beer, ale,
mead, and even stronger drink. They're chief love, however, is precious
metal, particularly gold. They prize gems, of course, especially diamonds and
opaque gems (except pearls, which they do not like). Dwarves like the earth
and dislike the sea. Not overly fond of elves, they have a fierce hatred of
orcs and goblins. Their short, stocky builds make them ill-suited for riding
horses or other large mounts (although ponies present no difficulty), so they
tend to be a trifle dubious and wary of these creatures. They are ill-
disposed toward magic and have little talent for it, but revel in fighting,
warcraft, and scientific arts such as engineering.
