POSE

  this command allows you to perform some action for everyone to see.  for
  example, if Thog typed
    pose waves and bows
  then everyone in the same room as him would read
    Thog waves and bows

  the common shortcut for this is just to precede your action with a colon...
    :grins happily     ===>   pose grins happily
