there are a few basic commands you should get used to ... type
help <command>    for help on one of these (don't put the <> around the name
of the command, however.
  help       -- what you're using
  look       -- see the 'location' you are in
  home       -- this command will take your character back where it came from
  say, pose  -- these are used for basic communication
