DRAWBRIDGE Drawbridge You are standing at one end of a large wooden drawbridge which spans the moat below you. The wood, from which the bridge has been made of, has the appearance of being roughly hewn, but the pieces fit together with an almost magical accuracy.^ $ANY drawbridge outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; GATEHOUSE The Gatehouse You are standing under an arch that comprises of the entrance to a gatehouse. Above you a large iron portcullis hangs precariously from two chains that disappear up into the room above, and you can see doorways into rooms on either side of you.^ $ANY gatehouse outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; RGUARDROOM Guard's Room You are in a shabby little room that serves as a place for the guards to rest when not on duty. The room is fairly uniteresting, its main feature being a spiral staircase that leads up into a room above.^ north guardsroom 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; LGUARDROOM Guard's Room You are in a small and tidy room. The room is furnished with a large table that fills the centre of the room, and chairs surround part of it, with others lining some of the walls. In one corner, a narrow stone spiral staircase leads up into a room above.^ south guardsroom 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; EASTCYARD Castle Courtyard You are at one end of a vast courtyard that spans out before you. The ground has been paved with stone which gives it a remarkably smooth appearance, but you notice that there is a slight camber. You can also see two buildings to either side of you, whilst the courtyard extends further to the west.^ east courtyard outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; WESTCYARD Castle Courtyard You are standing at the western edge of the courtyard. To the west your progress may be hindered by the Keep, but buildings lie to both your north and south.^ west courtyard outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CSMITHY Smithy You are in a fair sized Smithy. A giant anvil lurks in one corner waiting to be used, whilst a furnace burns happily in another. Lots of wierd patterns, made up out of scrap metal, addorn the wall.^ castle smithy 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CSTABLE Stables A long line of stables stretch out ahead of you. Each individual stable is near enough identical, with a low door enclosing each one.^ castle stables 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CSTORE Storeroom You are standing in a small storeroom adjacent to the stables. All sorts of horse paraphernalia litters shelves and the floor, and the stench of horses is almost unbearable.^ castle storeroom dark 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CKEEP The Keep You are standing in the middle of a enclosed area. An iron portcullis hangs above you, its spikes glaring at you menacingly. The walls on either side of you are splattered with tar, and narrow slits evenly divide the walls up into several sections.^ castle keep outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; GREATHALL The Great Hall You are standing at the entrance of the Great Hall. Two long tables stretch the entire length of the smooth stone floor and at the far end a platform is raised a few feet above the rest of the hall. On either side, narrow steps lead up to the battlements which surround the area.^ great hall 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CPLATFORM The Raised Platform You are on a raised platform looking out across the expanse of hall that lies in front of you. A table rests at the front of the platform and chairs line the back of the table.^ raised platform 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CKITCHEN Kitchen You are standing in the main food preperation area for the castle. Large pots surround the room, hanging from hooks, and an oak table fills a corner, its suface scarred by countless knife marks.^ ;**remeber to add fire and spit** castle kitchen dark 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; SERVANTQUARTER Servant's quarters You are standing to one side of a large room. Blankets are fairly evenly spaced on the floor, interspersed by a few worthless belongings. On the far side an open drain runs along one wall giving the room an distinct odour.^ ;**add fire again!** servants quarters dark 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CPANTRY The Pantry Shelves stretch around the room ahead of you. Although most of them are laden there is very little of any interest. A set of wooden steps lead down into the depths below.^ castle pantry dark 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; LIBRARY The Library You are standing in a small library. Hundreds of books line the shelves ahead of you, but locked glass doors keep prying hands away.^ $ANY library 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CANTEROOM An Anteroom You are in a small, well looked after anteroom. The room is featureless, apart from a rather chilling inscription on the wall ahead of you, that reads, "You have entered one room too many. Death will befall all those who go beyond here uninvited". Beside you a doorway leads north.^ castle passage dark 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CTREASURY The Castle Treasury You are at the entrance to a huge room, the walls of which are wider than you can reach. You happen to glance up, and you notice a couple of bloodstained spikes pertruding the ceiling above the doorway in which you are standing.^ castle treasury dark 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CCORRIDOR A Wide Corridor You are in a wide corridor with exits leading of in all directions. In the north, an impressive door stands between you, and whatever is on the other side, whilst all the other exits just lead into darkness.^ castle corridor dark 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CSTRONGROOM Strong Room You are standing in the doorway to one of the most heavily fortified rooms that you have ever seen. On the door behind you, the dried whole skin, of what could only be a human, has been hammered to the door, perhaps as a reminder of what happened to the last person who came here.^ castle strongroom dark 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CSTUDY The Study You are in a lavishly decorated study. The golden ceiling reflects the room's image perfectly, giving the room psycadellic properties. Ornaments, well out of reach, decorate the walls, whilst the floor is crystal smooth, and glistens in the light.^ castle study 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ; CHALLWAY The Hallway You are in a great hallway.
