NAME
     shutdown - "overrides the driver's shutdown efun

SYNOPSIS
     varargs void shutdown(int code);

DESCRIPTION
     This simul_efun overrides the driver's  shutdown  efun.   It
     makes  sure  that  the  object  calling  for  a shutdown has
     ROOT_UID, and logs the shutdown in the "shutdowns" file, and
     then  passes  the  code  parameter  (if any) to the driver's
     shutdown efun.
